On November 3rd, Igor Strelkov, former Minister of Defense of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Military commandant of Donetsk, released some information regarding the movements of Turkey and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
He did so on his official Telegram channel.
His statement is the following:
“According to unverified data, the Turkish units occupied the village of Dashatli / Karintak (a settlement at an insignificant distance south-west of Shushi). With the capture of this village, Turkish troops are taking direct fire control (even from small arms) of the main Lachin-Shusha road. The main communication of the Armenian forces in the Stepanakert region and to the east was thus cut. If the Armenians fail to recapture Dashatli in the near future, it can be said that all their forces in Karabakh to the east of Lachin fell into operational encirclement.
Theoretically, the Armenians have the opportunity to recapture the village, since Turkish troops will not be able to drag heavy weapons across the mountains (there are no roads accessible for heavy equipment connecting Dashatli with the main Turkish-occupied territory – only trails of varying degrees of passability). But I believe the Turkish forces will try to make the most of their air superiority and corrected artillery fire.”

It’s been in reports in the past several days, both from Armenia and Azerbaijan that the attacking forces have reached as far as Shushi, which is bad news for Yerevan.

Currently, reconnaissance and fire-fighting operations are being carried out in the areas where opponent troops are deployed, — the Ministry of defense of Artsakh.”

very close…we took the village next to shusha and established fire control over lachin corridor at one point…there is one more corridor in the north…the region is mountainous and full of forests which makes it difficult for armored vehicles…when we take shusha the stepanakert is next…
