Russia looks to restore status in civil aviation: MC-21 makes maiden flight using Russian-made engines, ending reliance on West Russian new PD-14 engines https://youtu.be/ohYE2fVwwII

The Objective

I thought Russia was already self-reliant on manufacturing engines. So they still had some distance to cover and you’ll be fighting everyone on this forum who even slightly questions Russian technology.

HiaNd

You are ignorant and bigoted anti-Russian jumping on wrong conclusions in your ignorance and hatred. On this subject your “thoughts” doesn’t count. Russia didn’t build civilian engines because they could bought them easily on the West (before the sanctions). After the sanctions they were forced to make them. Building engine from scratch takes even 10 years and costs lots of money… This new Russian engine is not some old (upgraded by Russia) USSR engine. Older USSR design airplanes and their engines (even if upgraded) are used-certified for domestic flights only ..Or in countries with lower standards than EU and US. Sukhoi Superjet 100 is the only new Russian design airplane with international flight certificates at the moment. But they are for the moment flying only with US engines (soon to receive Russian also) Next one will be MC-21 and Russo-Chinese wide body model in the near future that will directly compete with US and EU biggest airplanes on the market. This is NEW generation engine on MC-21 is certified with the new highest global standards of fuel – efficiency (better performing than any other Western engine in its class) respecting noise pollution prevention, highest standards. Western airports have highest possible standards imposed specially when it comes to fuel efficiency & noise. To get Western flying certificate is not easy. And by building PD-14; Russia has built first of hole new family of engines that will be created from this model design. In laymen terms when it comes to aircraft: Russia is one of few counters that can build any kind of aircraft’s with their engines.

How about their phones, still using any Western parts?

HiaNd

And which country is 100% self sufficient in everything? Not US certainly, nor Japan, not even China that produces many things. Russia is using Chinese electronic parts now, after the sanctions. Also Russia produces some CPU’s, for military needs themselves.

occupybacon

Kid, Russia produced military CPU’s before you were born.

HiaNd

Now you (ex-US bot) even want to label me anti-Russian?!!? That was USSR not Russia you bigmouthed son of Ukrainian whore. Go back to suck US di*k. Go where you belong, do not pretend to be what you are not.

occupybacon

Just wanted to know when you are born.

The Objective

Russia still suffers from engine problem. The west excels here. There’s at least a 15 year gap between Russia and America when it comes to stealth. The closest Russia’s get to fielding a reliable engine is with the Pakistani JF-17. SU-57 is still having many problems, including the engine.

Poor armos. Your millennials sold you out to Soros and his paid goons and his paid goons sold you out to nato and nato sold you out to turkey. If only you were loyal and intelligent and could control your fifth column millennial trash, you wouldn’t be getting banged sideways. I’d like to say I care. I have a long history with Armenians and I respect them as a people. Or at least I did. When I saw you take Nato’s shlong tonsils deep, I knew it was game over. If you make a deal with the devil don’t be surprised if you end being the trick and the treat. There’s no turning back now. All you can do now is dig a deeper grave. FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE MY PEOPLE ARE DESTROYED. Too bad you forgot to mind those words. Now it’s too late. Good bye Armenia. Land y Hayk the Great. Now you’re the land of kim kardashian. Poor souls.
