The Azerbaijani military is preparing to “riot” against the Turkish command, Russian journalist Semyon Pegov, known for the WarGonzo Telegram Channel reported on November 4th.
According to Pegov, Azerbaijani officers, who are mostly Shiites, are unhappy with the fact that they were actually removed from the command of the army to please the representatives of the Turkish special services and the field commanders of the pro-Turkish terrorist groups, who are Sunnis.
Earlier, Pegov reported that, according to sources in Istanbul, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov was actually removed from command of the troops at the request of Turkey.
The reason for the removal of Hasanov was allegedly his close ties with Russian generals.
The journalist also said that the Turkish special services demanded that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev remove from management all Azerbaijani generals who were educated in Russia.
Whether this is fact or not remains to be seen, however, WarGonzo’s reports have, so far, been on point and have adequately presented the situation on the frontline.
On the frontline, at 11:35 local time in Nagorno-Karabakh, an air raid siren rang in Stepanakert, no strikes have actually been reported.
Berdzor and Shushi with adjacent settlements come under fire. The air raid alarm is on. At the moment there is no information about victims, the Artsakh State Emergency Service reported.
On the night of November 5, relatively stable tension remained in all directions of the front line. The Azerbaijan side was particularly active in the Eastern, South-Eastern and Southern directions. Units of the Artsakh Defense Army reportedly succeeded in stopping all attacks of hostile forces.
The Azerbaijani forces reportedly suffered heavy losses in manpower and military equipment.
“Two hostile groups also attempted to attack in the Northern direction, but were destroyed by units of the Artsakh Defense Army.
Yesterday, the opponent subjected rocket and artillery attacks on civilian settlements in Artsakh,” the Artsakh ministry of defense claimed.
Armenian Ministry of Defense spokesperson claimed that yet another UAV was downed over Nagorno-Karabakh and shared a photo of debris.
Several UAVs were reportedly destroyed.

Also, Armenia’s side released several videos of destroying Azerbaijani equipment and troops, reportedly all taking place on November 4th, and then a video of soldiers rummaging through destroyed vehicles.
According to the Azerbaijani side, during the day on November 4 and night on November 5, the Armenian armed forces fired at the positions of the units of Azerbaijan Army in different directions of the front and Azerbaijani settlements with various small arms, howitzers and mortars.
The combat operations continued with varying intensity, mainly in the Aghdere and Khojavend directions of the front. The enemy was forced to retreat with casualties on personnel and military vehicles in some areas of the front.
“The victorious Azerbaijani Army has liberated Mirak, Kavdar villages of Jabrayil district, Mashadiismayilli, Shafibayli villages of Zangilan district, Basharat, Garakishilar and Garajalli villages of Gubadli district from occupation. Long live Azerbaijani Army! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!” President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made a post on his Twitter account.
An unidentified anti-aircraft gun was also destroyed by Azerbaijan, according to a video release.
