Azerbaijani Strikes Continue To Deplete Armenian Forces (Videos)

Support SouthFront

On October 7 and 8, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the country’s media released several videos showing recent strikes on Armenian forces in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

The videos show more than ten strikes on Armenian military vehicles, including T-72 battle tanks and 2S3 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzers.

The strikes seen in the videos were likely carried out with Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 combat drones and Israeli-made Harop and SkyStriker loitering munitions.

The Azerbaijani MoD’s videos also show heavy rocket strikes on vehicles and positions of Armenian forces in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Despite the heavy and accurate fire power of Azerbaijani forces, Armenian troops are still holding onto their positions in Nagorno-Karabakh. Furthermore, Armenian troops carried out successful counter-attacks in the region over the last 48 hours.

The battle in Nagorno-Karabakh, which broke out on September 27, does not appear to be nearing its end. Azerbaijan and Armenian are still unwilling to cease military operations in the region.

Houthis started to win after they lost all armored vehicles. Now, they use captured ones from time to time. Armenians should give up tanks and larger groups of soldiers and organise real guerilla.

SevenMoons

How can you guerilla hide on the barren mountains? Even gorilla can’t hide there.

Lone Ranger

Ask the Afghans how to do it…

SevenMoons

The 1 million Azeri refugees will get back to their mountains and land. There won’t be any place for those Artskins to hide.

Afghanistan is totally different. It is very sparsely populated. Villages are not armed and Taliban can just round up village one by one. Army and police just stay in towns. 150,000 Artskins can’t win over 1 million armed Azeris.

Great Khan

70% Armenistan people go home Yerevan, Azeri brother soon take back land. Yekshima.

cechas vodobenikov

7 morons confused —moon is not mountains

Great Khan

7 moon Pakistani internet warrior, Turk brother hire for propaganda. Very good.

Ashok Varma

Most of his videos are in Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. It is not surprising that Turks have hired Pakistanis for pushing their propaganda as they are close allies and US vassals for a long time.

Great Khan

Gorilla live in Congo, no need fight in Armenistan, too cold..

Ashok Varma

Armenians are urban people and not Houthis and can not last in tough conditions for long. Indian TV just showed that over 80% of the NK population has fled and the remaining old and vulnerable population is without electricity or water. This war needs to end soon.

occupybacon

Sad, Chechens fought for 8 years agains an army 100 times larger.

Toni Liu

They very late to utilise that, and they forget they fight in mountain territory which better for them to utilise more cheaper guerilla equipment like long range atgm, disposable rocket launcher, and hide expensive weapons in the back. No wonder they got very expensive loss that they hard to cover if azeris start to take more than karabakh

Tudor Miron

I would say that Azeri’s are much more active in informational warfare. Let’s see if they can convert it into actual territory gains (what they got now is a very limited success and Aliev wouldn’t be able to sell it as a win).

SevenMoons

It is just so easy to record from those drones. Electronic warfare.

Ashok Varma

Tum Pakistani ho? a lot of your links are in Urdu, which only Pakistanis and Indians can understand. Are you working for TRT?

Andranik

Yah sally guti fudi hai. Don’t listen to a word he says paji.

Andranik

Hello, please share this documentary, it is useful for people to learn about Azerbaijan. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ifua_z692k0#

Ashok Varma

Putin has ruled out intervention as Armenian occupation of Nogorno-Karabakh is not recognized by Russia or anyone. How long do you think the Armenians can hold out, on their own?

Andranik

Well that was very obvious and has always been the case, I don’t understand how everyone is not aware of that. Seeing as Armenia has been on its own for the past 30 years (Armenia has been under a blockade this whole time), indefinably. Armenians will win, we are too stubborn and we have the backing of our diaspora. We have always known we can only rely upon ourselves, the great powers have always betrayed us for their interests.

Alekai Mordechai

N-K is not Armenian territory.

You gain through swords, you will loose via swords.

Kardasians and their NHL husbands can only do so much!

Andranik

Armenians have been fighting for this last for thousands of years, since your ancestors lived in caves. We will be fighting for it when Azerbaijan and Turkey are only found in history books too.

Alekai Mordechai

You don’t know where my Ancestors are from.

Anyways, a durable peace agreement needs to be made. Where N-K will in inhabited half and half by Armenians and Azerbaijanis.

Great Khan

Armenia not country, part of great Persian khan’s empire, you tell lie.

Ashok Varma

With Russia out of the picture and Erdogan Islamacizing the conflict and bridging the Sunni and Shia chasm, it looks quite bleak for Armenia, it needs to hand over NK and bring in the Armenian population back as further bloodshed is futile. Turkey appears to have won this conflict with Israeli and NATO backing.

Nosferatu

Dont be so sure just yet.

SevenMoons

Those look like the Syrian military academies outside Aleppo.

Europe hates America

This situation is difficult and hard for armenia. On the ground they would win without any problems against the azeris and their isis turk help but have to do something about the air attack. Look at the houthis, they have to be smarter if they want to win this battle

SevenMoons

You kinda tell the truth. The Armenians are doomed to lose N-K.

SevenMoons

The Tartar River now flows with plenty of water after Mathaghis Dam opened

They intend to drown those Artskins?

Khazar Supremacy

Azerbaijani Turks are much more professional and hive high tech, armos trusfing to their ww-1 style outdated trench warfare. Soon they will completly wiped out.

Ashok Varma

Turkey is managing this conflict with its own officers and Syrian mercenaries and with total Israeli and NATO support and it is difficult to envision that Armenia can hold out for long. Putin has firmly stated that Russia has no intention of intervening.

Alekai Mordechai

Another Iran in making.

My hunch is Armenia will become Iran’s outpost.

Great Khan

Armenistan part of old Persia, now again.

cechas vodobenikov

azeri photo shop like amerikan photo shop in Afghanistan….amerikans loose in Vietnam and azeris lost in 1994—if azeris cannot complete their invasion in 30 days, they will again lose

SevenMoons

If you play any strategy games, then you’ll know what to win a campaign, you’ll need to get strong base, or strong economy. This is something strongly against Armenia. Azerbaijan has the entire country border open. It can still trade with all counties and can get in fuel and ammunition. It can get supplies from Turkistan, China, Pakistan and a lot other countries. But Armenia can’t. It is highly doubtful that any weapons are transported from Iran. If so, the world would know.

So Azeris have so many options open. I think at this point, they want to go steady and target Artskin heavy weapons. Army can make steady gains. Armenian population may turn against Nikol Pashinyan. He may soften and negotiate a withdrawal plan.

Florin Boar

Armenia cant? both Armenia and Azerbaijan are played by Russia now. The NK region will belong to the state that will accept Russia’s influence and will lose that territory when it turns against Russia.

SevenMoons

Completely untrue.

Erdogan sets fire to the Caucasus again bringing the Taliban to Artsakh.

“Turkey has recruited Syrian rebels to fight in Nagorno-Karabakh,” activists from northwestern Syria told the dpa, explaining that what is pushing the fighters is economic misery.

Ankara has been supporting rebel groups in Syria for nine years.

“Young fighters, mainly from Turkish-backed groups – such as the Sultan Murad Brigade, the Hamza Brigade and the Al Furat Shield – are being paid for,” said an activist who spoke on condition of anonymity because he feared for his safety.

“These are mainly desperate fighters, recruited by Turkey for $ 1,500 to $ 2,000 a month,” another explained.

A source from the Sultan Murad Brigade said 50 fighters of the group had been killed in the past three days in Nagorno-Karabakh, while dozens more had been wounded.

“The main problem is that Syrian fighters are not trained to fight in such areas,” he said, adding that about 2,000 fighters had left Syria to go to Azerbaijan via Turkey’s Gaziantep airport.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reached an agreement with the leader of the Islamic Party of Afghanistan, Gulbin Hekmatar, on the participation of new terrorist groups in the war against the Armenians, according to a spokesman of President of Artsakh, Vahram Poghosyan, who cites information from his forces.

According to him, the Taliban mercenaries will be transferred to Azerbaijan in the coming days.

“Another indisputable fact is that the Turkish authorities at the highest level are trying to turn the region into a den of terrorism,” Poghosyan said. Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, an Afghan Taliban, served twice as Afghanistan’s prime minister in the 1990s. He was declared a “global terrorist” by the United States in 2003 and is blacklisted by the UN.

Russia in a move to distarct the turks is almost certain to provoke a crisis in Libya and Syria, wanting to detach Ankara from Nagorno. The reason is to prevent the establishment of an Islamist base near the Russian border.

Unless you live in one of those states no one really cares so cordon off those states and let them solve it themselves and winner takes all. They have been at each other’s throats for generations, time that they end it by themselves.

SevenMoons

This is about right. But there is UNSC and international laws though. Not many countries want to stick out necks for Armenia.

jm74

International Law is a joke, it only exists on paper and is only ever relevant if the situation is of any benefit to the aggressor normally the US, UK and israel.

SevenMoons

Not entirely true. Even Trump can’t do whatever he wants to do. He still wants to find some support to justify his decision or action.

As Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Expands, Israel-Azerbaijan Arms Trade Thrives

Ben-Gurion Airport is quiet with civilian flights almost at a standstill. However, cargo flights on the Azerbaijan route have been very busy over the last two weeks. The high number of flights is a direct result of the renewal of fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the disputed enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh. No fewer than four Ilyushin-76 planes, operated by the Azeri cargo airline Silk Way, which serves the Azeri defense ministry, have touched down and taken off from the Uvda air base in southern Israel – two, before the outbreak of fighting, and two, afterwards. According to flight regulations, that is the only airport from which planes loaded with explosive material are allowed to take off.

SevenMoons

As long as Azerbaijan has the money, it can continue to acquire those drones. All the talks about Georgia limiting Azeri flights and Israel’s restricting the drone sales are just smoke screen. It is business as usual for both countries.

All supplies form Turkey and Israel continue to go to Azerbaijan. More drones will be replenished. Fighting will continue at the same pace. When there are no more Armenian armor and artillery pieces to hit, the drones will target the bunkers and machine gun stations, along with the Artskin military hideouts. Armenian personnel casualty will increase as a result.

The war is clearly against Armenia. Russia has stated clearly that it won’t intervene with N-K conflict.

Erdoğan showed no sign of backing down, in what Borrell called Turkey’s “stronger and more assertive posture” and which the EU diplomat linked to a dial-down of US interest in the South Caucasus region.

Erdoğan’s “logic” was to destabilise the Minsk Group because Turkey had no say in the existing structure for Galip Dalay, an expert at the Robert Bosch Academy in Berlin.

“Turkey’s logic in almost all corners of the map is disruption. Anything that undermines the status quo is good for it, because the previous status quo was seen to counter its interests,” Dalay told the Reuters news agency.

And Erdoğan’s domestic popularity went up over his recent EU clash on oil and gas drilling, a recent poll showed.

“All of these conflicts out there boost the perception that Turkey is a country under siege, rightly or wrongly,” Sinan Ülgen, from the Istanbul-based think-tank EDAM, said.

Russia, Azerbaijan Discuss Settlement Of Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict

https://caspiannews.com/news-detail/russia-azerbaijan-discuss-settlement-of-nagorno-karabakh-conflict-2020-9-23-36/

SevenMoons

The working visit of the speaker of Azerbaijan’s parliament, Sahiba Gafarova to Russia this week brought several issues of mutual interest under the spotlight, including the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

In a meeting with Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, speaker Gafarova said the ongoing conflict continues to create serious obstacles to the development and security of the region.

“Azerbaijan is committed to a peaceful political settlement of the conflict. The settlement of the conflict should be carried out within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan on the basis of the UN Charter, the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and the Helsinki Final Act,” she said, according to the parliament’s website.

SevenMoons

“The recent absurd statements of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that a compromise solution to the conflict can be discussed only if Azerbaijan recognizes the right of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh to self-determination, thwart all the efforts of the world community to resolve the conflict peacefully,” she said, adding Baku will never allow the creation of a second Armenian state in Azerbaijani soils.

SevenMoons

Gafarova’s remarks hinted at seven “conditions” drafted by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in July. He called for strengthening the “joint security system” of Armenia and the occupied Nagorno-Karabakh region, recognizing separatists as a party to talks, acknowledging the “self-determination right” of separatists. Authorities of Azerbaijan assessed it as an effort to stop, change, and distort the format of negotiations.

Minister Lavrov, in his turn, said that Russia, as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, is supporting the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Moscow, according to the Russian minister, supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

SevenMoons

Following the meeting between Lavrov and Gafarova, Director of the Information and Press Department at Russia’s Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova commented on its outcomes. During the meeting, the basic principles for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, implying including the solution of the status issues of Nagorno-Karabakh, the liberation of the territories around it, were discussed, according to her.

Minister Lavrov has earlier said that there is a project for a phased resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The first phase, according to him, addresses the liberation of some occupied districts around Nagorno-Karabakh and lifting the transport, economic and other communication blockades.

SevenMoons

Meanwhile, PM Pashinyan instructed his foreign minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan to spare no effort for securing a meeting with the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. Pashinyan is said to have tasked the Armenian embassy in Washington, the Armenian lobby, and communities in the US for this purpose. The embassy has reportedly allocated funds from the state budget for hiring American lobbyists, including former senator Bob Dole, as well.

But Mr. Pompeo and Mr. Trump never took interest with Armenia. Pashinyan is so disappointed.

SevenMoons

The UN Security Council’s four resolutions demanding the immediate withdrawal of the occupying forces from the Azerbaijani lands go unfulfilled to date. The conflict remains to be at the risk of renewed war given the failure of political negotiations and regular ceasefire breaches by Armenia’s troops. Over the past decade, major armed skirmishes between Armenian and Azerbaijani troops, including in April 2016 and in July 2020, have claimed dozens of lives on both sides.

SevenMoons

The bloody war in 1991-1994 resulted in Armenia occupying Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts, including Lachin, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan. Azerbaijan faced a humanitarian crisis during the war, in which 30,000 of its citizens were killed, while one million others were displaced. Armenia has intensively been settling the occupied lands with ethnic Armenians. Today, there is no single ethnic Azerbaijani living in those occupied territories.

PZIVJ

How is it that 1 million Azeris where displaced, since the N-K region does not support that many people. where did they all flee from. Is this Azeri propaganda from 30 years ago?

Alekai Mordechai

A respectable agreement needs to be made between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
