On August 4, the local representative of Syria’s ruling Baath Party in the town of al-Harak in the eastern Daraa countryside was assassinated.
The representative, Salamah al-Qaddah, was reportedly shot and killed by unidentified gunmen in al-Harak. The gunmen managed to flee the town without being noticed.
Salamah was the second official of the Baath Party in Daraa to be assassinated this year. On June 28, unidentified gunman attacked the house of Kamal al-Atma, the former Secretary of the party’s branch in Daraa, in the town of al-Sanamayn in the northern countryside of the governorate. The gunmen killed Kamal and four of his relatives.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the assassination of any of the two Baath officials. The main suspects are ISIS and al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham. Both terrorist groups are still present and active in different parts of Daraa.
Recently, Syrian government forces tightened its security measures in Daraa. Last month, an agreement to expel a number of wanted militants from the town of Tafas in the governorate’s western countryside was imposed by government forces.

It’s a good job that this doesn’t go on in western politics, but western politicians are quite happy for it to go on in other countries. Especially those they don’t like or that have something that western political bitches have been told to acquire for free for their pimps.
