Biden Administration Pauses Arms Deals With Saudi Arabia, UAE

The Biden administration has imposed a temporary freeze on billions of dollars in weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, the Wall Street Journal reported on January 27.

US officials told the newspaper that Washington is now reviewing weapon contracts approved by former President Donald Trump.

One of the deals being reviewed is a $23 billion arms deal from General Atomics, Lockheed and Raytheon Technologies Corp to the UAE. The deal includes the supply of 50 stealth F-35 fighter jets.

Another deal that’s being examined by the Biden administration includes the sale of thousands of precision-guided munitions to Riyadh for $290 million.

Commenting on the Wall Street Journal report, Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters the review is “typical” of a new administration.

According to Blinken, the review aims “to make sure that what is being considered is something that advances our strategic objectives and advances our foreign policy”.

Former President Trump, who enjoyed close relations with Israel and Gulf states, authorized the deals on a whim before leaving office earlier this month.

President Joe Biden criticized Saudi Arabia’s war on Yemen in the past. He even promised to “reassess” US relations with the Kingdom once in office. The review of arms deals with Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, however, appears to be nothing more than a standard process.

Ahh well, big guy wants his cut first…

Bob

Bingo – send a cheque to the Biden family trust (ie, incompetent bag-man Hunter), then the Gulf arms deals process gets rubber stamped – same as Hilary’s approach to foreign Gulf arms trade, gotta send a cheque to Clinton foundation first!

US is a very reliable with a history of deceit and this is mostly likely a domestic audience gesture as the Saudis are disliked by the general US public. Infact military sales are a key element of sustaining the deep state and military industrial complex and the puppet Arab Wahhabi regimes are the ideal patsies to sell over-priced worthless weapons that they can not operate anyway and will have to bring in the Pakistanis.

Condor

These tiny corrupt Arab desert mirage citi-states can not operate even a Cessna 172, let alone modern jet fighters, they depend on ex-pat pilots to operate and maintain these aircraft that are based in very vulnerable open desert airfields that would be prime target of Iranian loitering munitions and would be neutralized in the first strike. US is slowly embarking on rehabilitating Iran as the regional superpower.

Der hier ist auch interessant: ‘Blavatnik, who is very closely associated with Vladimir Putin, is one of the largest donors to the US Republican Party, and in 2015–2016 donated a total of $7.35 million to six Republican political candidates, including South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Florida Senator Marco Rubio and Arizona Senator John McCain.’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Blavatnik

tonia

Ist ein Blavatnik ein Anhänger von Blavatski? Oder was bedeutet “-nik” im Russischen? Mitglied?

Albert Pike

tonia

ps, “play both sides and share the prey”?

Albert Pike

‘Blavatnik sponsors a Colel Chabad 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m2) food bank and warehouse in Kiryat Malakhi, Israel, which sends monthly food shipments to 5,000 poor families in 25 Israeli cities, and before Jewish holidays to 30,000 families in 73 Israeli cities, towns and villages.’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Len_Blavatnik It’s interesting that Putin’s Chabad friend Blavatnik donated 3,5Mill$ to Mitch McConnell, therefore also to Mitch’s wife Elaine Chao, and how he is celebrated:

‘Striding the halls of an English stately home, dressed in full costume as Victorian prime minister Benjamin Disraeli, Len Blavatnik was celebrating his 60th birthday. Grammy-winner Bruno Mars sang. Guests — some in frock coats, others dressed as Leo Tolstoy, Rasputin or Chinese emissaries — mixed with rock stars, celebrities and business tycoons. Themed as an imaginary conference chaired by Disraeli, the June 2017 party was emblematic of Blavatnik’s extraordinary rise from his birth in Soviet Ukraine to one of the UK’s richest people.’ https://www.ft.com/content/c1889f48-871a-11e9-a028-86cea8523dc2 Who was Disraeli – what was this book all about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coningsby_(novel)

‘Born in Ukraine, raised north of Moscow, Len Blavatnik emigrated to the U.S. in 1978 for school; he studied computer science at Columbia University. he made a fortune selling his stake in Russian oil company TNK-BP for $7 billion in 2013. He purchased Warner Music in 2011 for $3.3 billion. His investment firm Access Industries holds stakes in chemicals firm Lyondell Basell, e-commerce firm Rocket Internet and fashion label Tory Burch. Blavatnik says he has given or pledged over $700 million to philanthropy, mostly to universities, including Oxford, Stanford and Harvard. He is a dual citizen of the U.S. and the U.K. The Blavatniks have given to both political parties in the U.S., from Trump’s inaugural committee to Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign.’ https://www.forbes.com/profile/len-blavatnik/?sh=7cacdd2a56f3 Blavatnik can’t be a childhood friend from Putin, also where did he get his in 1986 his starting Capital from? Mostlikely Jacob R! How did his buddy Vekselberg meet Putin?

‘After setting up a holding company in New York, Access Industries, he partnered with Viktor Vekselberg and began buying newly privatized aluminum plants. Competition was ferocious, with motley investors like Blavatnik and Vekselberg scrapping alongside criminal groups and contending with intimidation and violence. Years later, Roman Abramovich testified in court that he had to be persuaded to invest because “every three days someone was murdered in that business.” ‘…’In 1997, Blavatnik and Vekselberg teamed with Ukraine-born billionaire Mikhail Fridman to buy a 40 percent stake in TNK, a former state-owned oil company with interests in Siberian oilfields. Two years later, on the cheap, TNK acquired a productive subsidiary of a competitor, partly owned by BP Plc, that a local court had declared bankrupt. BP fought to block the purchase, failed and ultimately paid almost $7 billion for 50 percent of TNK, which was renamed TNK-BP. The partnership was contentious, and in 2013 the company was sold to state oil giant Rosneft in a record $55 billion deal heralded by President Vladimir Putin. Blavatnik, Vekselberg, and Fridman and his other partners reaped a total of $27.7 billion.’ https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2019-04-26/the-meteoric-rise-of-billionaire-len-blavatnik Still no answer how they met Putin, maybe via Fridman(?):

‘Using $100,000 of his profit from his businesses to pay the required fee, in January 1991 Fridman co-founded Alfa-Bank.[32][30][44][20] The company grew to become one of the largest private banks in Russia.[11][20] Alfa Group’s later divisions include Rosvodokanal, a private water utility; AlfaStrakhovanie, a diversified insurance company; A1 Group, an investment company; and X5 Retail Group, a large chain of food retailers.[45] Alfa Group flourished considerably after Fridman recruited Petr Aven, the former Minister of Foreign Economic Relations for the Russian Federation; in 1994 Aven became President and Chairman of Alfa Bank.[46][47] By late 1996, thanks to the success of Alfa Bank and Alfa Group, Boris Berezovsky, in an interview by the Financial Times, named Fridman and Aven as among the seven businessman and bankers who controlled most of the economy and media in Russia,[48][49][46][50][51] and who had helped bankroll Boris Yeltsin’s 1996 re-election campaign.’ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikhail_Fridman Best guess is via Yeltsin or via the this lost in court story: ‘Together with fellow Alfa Bank partners Petr Aven and German Khan, Fridman brought a lawsuit for defamation in Britain against Orbis Business Intelligence, Steele’s private intelligence firm. In July 2020, Justice Warby from the Queen’s Bench Division of the British High Court of Justice ordered Steele to pay damages to Aven and Fridman who Steele claimed had delivered “large amounts of illicit cash” to Vladimir Putin when Putin was deputy mayor of St. Petersburg. Judge Warby stated that the claim was “demonstrably false” and awarded the damages to compensate “for the loss of autonomy, distress and reputational damage caused by the breaches of duty”. The judge stated that Steele’s dossier also inaccurately claimed that Aven and Fridman provided foreign policy advice to Putin.’

What binds them all together is the orgins of their starting capital – and there you are at Jacob R again – and Tony Hayward, the former BP Boss who teamed up with Jacobs son Nathaneill. So the BP shareholders lost and Friedman, Vekselberg and Blavatnic won. Jacob R won – Putin helped…

Albert Pike

The problem with those genealogies is that by now millions would be somehow related to Charlemagne. I think I counted once the people who were next to George Bush also related to the same guy in the Peerage List of 16hundret something. Those were 120000 people. You go back a further 800 years and you would be landing at millions of people. So Charlemagne is bunck (there is no ‘evil’ blood)…

Britt

Thank you very much! Very nice of you ?.

Paused?

Biden wants to oversee what was agreed to … eh?

Biden wants to assure his progressive colleagues that these deals are ‘kosher’ or better still ‘halal’?

It can’t be about issues of ‘human rights’ … can it?

That’s a bad idea … as judging others through a ‘template’ of human rights is attempting to impose Western cultural values on others … full stop

Isn’t that a ‘colonial mindset’? Isn’t that simply ‘wrong’?

Well …. ?

Pave Way IV

Western cultural values and colonialism? Do you live in a cave? (Well, Canada… same thing). The U.S. political Mafia doesn’t need a reason for anything.

Corruption is universal, you f’king racist.

Arab … corruption has ruled your lands FOREVER

Oh, c’mon man… we had to kill 52 million former inhabitants of the Americas before moving our corrupt asses here. Are you saying the indigenous peoples were corrupt? Or is FOREVER just the European colonial butchers’ idea of ‘forever’? Stop redefining words to fit your meth habit and racist beliefs.

tzatz

Arabs = ‘backsheesh’ = corruption

Deflection won’t work …

Pave Way IV

Thank God there are no Khazars are hateful, irredeemably corrupt grifters and parasites, eh?

tzatz

There might be … but that doesn’t diminish the fact EVERY Arab/Muslim State is struggling on all levels and there is NO LIBERAL DEMOCRACY anywhere among the Arabs

Jews invented corruption and usury.

You don’t even have a passport … besides you’d be barred from entry … DUI convictions … eh goy?

Pave Way IV

Passport? Why on earth would I need one of those for the Socialist Republic of CANADA?? If you walk across the Canadian border waving and empty Molson bottle, they let you in. Well, the moose does. If you wave a full bottle, Canadians come out from behind every tree waving both arms in the air and yelling, “Eyyy, buddy! Over ‘ere! Watcha got der in yer mitt, eh?”

tzatz

So … no passport

Pave Way IV

Everyone knows where this one is going, tzatz.

“One of the deals being reviewed is a $23 billion arms deal from General Atomics, Lockheed and Raytheon Technologies Corp to the UAE. The deal includes the supply of 50 stealth F-35 fighter jets.”

The al Saud’s rule is just about over. The Kingdom will disintegrate when they find out the king is dead. Matter of weeks before MbS flees or is assassinated. When it all implodes and the Wahhabis chimp out, ALL those F-35s will end up in Israel for safekeeping. Gosh… U.S. taxpayers will be furious, huh? Just kidding – we already hate Israel.

tzatz

‘we’ ? Shia?

The F-35 everyone says is junk? lol

Pave Way IV

Well then, I must be a Shia, because everyone is your enemy: classical paranoid psychosis. Do you actually think U.S. taxpayers love Israel?

The F-35 IS junk… because we don’t need it for unjustified (and illegal) oil/dominance wars for Israel. Call your Israeli taxpayer pals and tell THEM to pay for R&D (=IP theft from the U.S., kek) for their f’king F-35 kill toys.

tzatz

You’ve surveyed Americans?

Whenever Americans are surveyed on the Arab/Israeli Conflict:

70% favour Israel 30% favour the pals

F/k off … your crew will be on the receiving end … sucks … eh?

Pave Way IV

Where’s the U.S. taxpayer survey asking a simple, “Would you send your son to die (or your ‘stimulus check’ X 20) for whatever the fuck Israel is crying about THIS week?” It’s always about Israel being provocative dicks, not about Israel vs. Palestine.

“F/k off … your crew will be on the receiving end … sucks … eh?”

Terroristic threats against a U.S. citizen … eh? Or are you actually saying that U.S. units will be targeted? Treasonous CENTCOM works for YOU f’kers. Why would you want our soldiers dead?

Chill out, tzatz. You lost this one a long time ago.

tzatz

Survey says:

Americans favour the Israelis 70 : 30

Condor

Liar as well.

tzatz

Denial … is all you got

Jakke1899

Woow…. A terroristic threat against a US citizen? You better call Rumsfeld or Cheney on “Israel first!” hotline! They will deal with his sorry ass. ;-)

Blue In Green

lol, that’d be quite the insidious plan huh?

Give (sell) Saudi Arabia advanced fighters and munitions upon the stipulation that if the country begins to destabilize, those same weapons must be transferred to a regional nation allied with America for “safe keeping” and this case I guess we’re insinuating that would be Israel. And the icing on the cake would be that the Arabs paid out of pocket for jets that go directly to Israel. It would be one of the greatest forms of humiliation for Arabs ever….I’ve got nothing against them personally but hey, just a thought.

Officially Saudi Arabia and Israel haven’t even signed on to any “peace accord” unless (most likely) they both have mended their ties with one another in secret, which given all that’s been going on recently throughout the region, that probably is the case.

Anyways, I sincerely don’t see much ‘peace’ blooming in the region. Very easily to tell just how severely the entire region is militarizing and militarizing fast.

Pave Way IV

MbS is either stupid or he’s in on it. Nothing is EVER what it seems with the camel fellators. UAE would be a good second guess for transfer – that’s where we’re building our ‘private’ CIA military. Hopefully, Iran will level that shithole before the KSA collapse. After is fine, too.

Writing is on the wall: KSA and UAE chimps will start the war with Iran at America/UK/Israel’s behest and false flags. They’ll last a couple of days tops before crying to Prez. Kamala-Harris to save their ass. A few existential threat false flag bottle rockets and Israel will need saving, too. See? America had no choice but to genocide Iranians for KSA/UAE (= Israel, duh…).

Blue In Green

I’m personally hoping that cooler heads will prevail and there won’t be an outbreak of region wide conflict but clearly that’s where we heading.

tzatz

Another American goy … with his ‘eyes wide shut’ and his ‘ears sealed’ …

What is it with you PWT’s ?

It’s a rhetorical question … eh?

Oh grow up you impudent child, this isn’t a place for such banter and I’m not the type to engage in it.

Block and reported.

As a PWT goy … your ‘superior’ attitude is laughable

‘We’ again?

So upon looking through your comment history … you pass yourself off as a PWT goy … I’ll ‘try’ to remember IV

The corrupt Arab petro-sheikhs and the Zionist entity should be very careful not to antagonize Iran too much as US is reverting back to the Nixon doctrine of accepting Iran as the regional superpower and has picked a very pro-Iran diplomat Robert Malley as the point man on Iran. His father was an Egyptian.

Former Obama aide Robert Malley named Biden’s top envoy on Iran: officials confirm

US intends to unfreeze over $400 billion in Iranian assets and want to improve ties at all levels, largely due to growing Chinese influence in Iran and the Persian Gulf in general. This is very bad news for the impotent marginalized Zionists who already had a temper tantrum yesterday demanding more money to ” attack Iran”.

Are you talking about reality? Are you not talking about pink dreams? If you think that America stands with Iran and ignores Israel, this is a distant dream for you, but America knows very well that Saudi Arabia is the strongest ally in the region. As for Iran, it is a reactionary terrorist state that could not benefit its people, so how can a country be strong and great? This is a funny thing Iran is about to collapse It is now experiencing economic isolation and the state is not in the interest of Western countries. An arms race has started in the region
