Today, it is reported that bomb blasts and gunfire near the Indian consulate in the eastern Afghanistan city of Jalalabad killed six people, including a police officer and four gunmen.

According to the report, the Wednesday explosions are targeted in an area with several other foreign missions.

“A bomber blew him up at the entrance to the consulate and then other explosions and gunfire began,” a local reporter said.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attacks yet.

The Indian consulate in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif also came under attack in January.

ISIS claimed responsibility in a bomb attack on the Pakistani consulate in Jalalabad that killed several security forces as well in the same month.
