In an unusual terrorist attack, two booby-trapped cows exploded on August 31 in the village of al-Islah in the eastern Iraqi province of Diyala.
RT said that locals in al-Islah rushed to the explosion site right away to find out that it was caused by two explosive-laden cows.
“The two booby-trapped cows were likely sent by ISIS terrorists to al-Islah … The two cows exploded inside the village wounding one of the locals, according to initial information,” an Iraqi military source said.
The source added that this was the first time ever cows were used to carry out a terrorist attack. While this may be true when it comes to cows, ISIS attempted to use other animals in such attacks before.

Two years ago, three ISIS operatives were killed and eight others were injured when they were trying to booby-trap a donkey, which exploded prematurely.
The usage of animals reflects ISIS’ desperation in Iraq. In the last two years, Iraqi government forces delivered major blows to the terrorist group, neutralizing many of its cells throughout the country.
