On May 15, a booby-trapped motorcycle exploded in the main street of the town of al-Shaddadi in the southern countryside of al-Hasakah.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the explosion wounded two civilians, a man and his 5-year old son. Several shops and vehicles were also damaged.
“The wounded were taken to the hospital for treatment,” the state-run agency’s reporter in al-Hasakah said.
Less than an hour after the explosion, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) security body, Asayish, uncovered a second booby-trapped motorcycle that was parked in a local market in al-Shaddadi. The motorcycle was quickly defused.
There was no immediate claim for the attack. However, ISIS cells are known to be highly active in southern al-Hasakah, especially in al-Shaddadi and its surroundings.
The SDF and the U.S.-led coalition are currently intensifying their joint security operations in northeast Syria. In a recent operation, two ISIS terrorists blow themselves up to avoid getting captured by special forces.
Oh really…someonw thinks that all of us are stupid idiots believe what treacherous SDF claims…
