On May 12, Ukrainian troops launched offensive operations along the entire line of contact (more than 95 km) in the area of the city of Soledar.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the AFU units launched 26 attacks, in which more than a thousand servicemen and up to 40 tanks were involved.
All attacks of the AFU units are repelled. No breaks through the defense of the Russian troops were allowed, – Russian Defence Ministry reported.
On May 13, the reports were confirmed by Russian military reporters, who revealed an important detail provided by their sources from the military units deployed on these front lines.
Ukrainian infantry attacked Russian positions with the support of armored vehicles. German Leopard tanks also took part in this offensive. In the area of the village of Zaliznyanskoye, one of the Leopards was blown up by an anti-tank mine, previously installed by the fighters of the Wagner PMC. As a result of the explosion, the caterpillar tread of the German tank was damaged and it was immobilized.
The crew of one of the Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles tried to pull the tank away and to cover the crew of the damaged tank, but fighters from the Russian volunteer detachments “Nevsky” and “Veterans” reportedly burned them along with the tank with hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers.
All Ukrainian attacks in the Soledar direction were repulsed.
The reports from the Soledar front lines are yet to by confirmed by the Russian military officials or footage from the area. Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry, some Russian civil society groups and warrior guilds declared various awards for Russian servicemen who destroy the German Leopard tanks. LINK

There is actually quite a bit of word that the Russian Airforce is very active in the south right now and in the north. There is almost a media blackout around Bakhmut from both sides with nothing officially really saying much of what’s happening. Give it a day for news to trickle out.

Maybe true don t know. Only thing I know is that the last days northwest of Bakhmut and soutwest of it, ukrainian forces significantly breached the russian forward positions and flanks, and pushed the russians out. Even mashing lots of the artillery positions from which the Khromatovo last road into Bakhmut was getting fired at.
Due to this fact early in night and early this morning large amouts of resupply in ukrainian troops, food, ammunition and medical supplies arrived in Bakhmut western sector.
This will for sure make it much harder for the ruskie Prigozhin fagner slave soldiers to take the rest of Bakhmut. It’s even more likely that in the coming days, due to this situation, ukraine will go into the offensive also in Bakhmut and push back the fagners significantly also inside the town. In best case back towards the river that cuts Bakhmut in the middle.
Personally, I admit, I feel that not a good idea, as I wouldn t waste a single more ukrainian soldier on these russian orcish mercenary illegal fagner bandit combatants, but instead would rain hell of poison gas, willy pete (white phosporous), JDAMs and MOABs on them, and then just collect their corpses and march to the river without having to fight my way to there – hence not risking the lifes of any more ukrainian soldier. But that said, I am just a nobody, and not the decision making person. So whatever happens, at least it is clear now, that situation has changed and now the russians are clearly forced into defensive position along the whole frontline in Ukraine, with Ukraine stomping through all the holes in the russian defence, often sending the russian battlions fleeing. A situation which even Prigozhin openly admitted.
