On February 3, President Joe Biden announced that US special forces had killed ISIS top leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi during a successful raid in Syria’s northwestern region.
“Last night at my direction, U.S. military forces in the northwest Syria successfully undertook a counterterrorism operation to protect the American people and our Allies, and make the world a safer place. Thanks to the skill and bravery of our Armed Forces, we have taken off the battlefield Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi—the leader of ISIS. All Americans have returned safely from the operation. I will deliver remarks to the American people later this morning. May God protect our troops,” a statement by the White House reads.
The raid took place near the town of Atimah, which is located right on Syria’s border with Turkey, in the early morning hours.
A large US special force, which was backed by several attack helicopters, combat drones and fighter jet, stormed the compound where al-Qurasyshi and his family were hiding. The clashes lasted for around two hours. The terrorist leader showed fierce resistance, before reportedly blowing up himself with a bomb he was carrying.
At least 13 people were killed during the raid, including six children and four women who were likely close relatives of al-Qurasyshi.
While US special forces didn’t sustain any casualties, material losses were reported. One of the UH-60 Black Hawk that took part in the raid was allegedly blown up by special forces operators on the ground in the southern part of the Turkish-occupied area of Afrin after facing “technical problems”.
Al-Qurasyshi predecessor, Abu Baker al-Baghdadi, was killed On 26 October 2019 in a simllar US raid that also took place in the same northwestern Syrian region, known as Greater Idlib.
ISIS is yet to officially confirm the death of al-Al-Qurasyshi, whose real name is “Abdullah Qardash”. Qardash, a former officer of Saddam Hussein’s army, was a Turkmen originating from Tell Afar in western Iraq. He was a religious commissar in al-Qaeda before joining ISIS. Following the raise of ISIS in 2014, Qardash oversaw operations against the Free Syrian Army in Aleppo and the Syrian Arab Army in Deir Ezzor.
Before becoming the leader of ISIS after the death of al-Baghdadi, al-Qurasyshi personally oversaw the selection of suicide bombers and the conduct of suicide operations for the terrorist group.
The death of al-Qurasyshi was without a doubt a large blow ISIS. However, it will not likely effect the terrorist group’s operations around the world on the long term.
Hmmm! Hollywood style by USA… Just to find any reason to stay in Syria and Iraq. They could kill ISIL, Alqaeda, jihadists in 2011, but USA by Israel wanted to use them to remove Assad. And to be on iraniar border and to cut any supply lines to Libanon and Palestine
VERY STRANGE! EVERY HTS/ISIL/al-qaida LEADER HAVE BEEN KILLED IN turkSHIT OCCUPIED AREA! VERY STRANGE!
The monster that CIA helped create.
And FSA was allied with Hamas so they were against Israel also.
Very impressive results for this special menu forces raid – six dead children, four dead women and the main target dead by suicide. The US armed forces is genuinely the best at everything! Russia, China, Iran, the DPRK, Venezuela, Cuba, Syria are really shaking in their boots. (Sarcasm)
just another lie to save thier assest before Russia or sAA reach him. US picked him for knew operation. bcuz all this time US knew where he was and suddenly they killed him what a lie . look like US got info that russia and SAA was going to kill him.
No body? Another Bin Laden, just believe the USA, they’d never lie.
Only the relatives left to collect DNA from then, as the target seems to have been atomised.
“A large US special force, which was backed by several attack helicopters, combat drones and fighter jet, stormed the compound where al-Qurasyshi and his family were hiding. The clashes lasted for around two hours” vs “13 people were killed during the raid, including six children and four women.”
“While US special forces didn’t sustain any casualties, material losses were reported. One of the UH-60 Black Hawk that took part in the raid was allegedly blown up by special forces operators on the ground”
One terrorist fought against a large group of US special forces, attack helicopters, combat drones and fighter jets for two hours. They managed to kill bunch of women and children and lost one helicopter, until he eventually killed himself…
Truly amazing level of incompetence by US army yet they brag about it like they killed Hitler.
Come on, we all know Wahhabis wouldn’t just follow yanquis. The US freed 100s of Wahhabis with help of their pigs Kurds and now they hired a “leader/s” for them. It also helps their rat to say “oh look the US did this tho”.
Also, “According to a US official cited by AFP and Axios, al-Qurayshi blew himself up with a suicide vest during the raid.” Hmm, didn’t Trump… well it is a “thing” they do I guess.
What Kurds? There are many Kurds and factions. This is YPG.
On the third video (Orient) you can see the part of M81 detonator which has been used by Delta for sure. And that’s the only evidence of explosives used. Guess the recent Kabul scenario has happened again by killing a lot of kids
Of course the ISIS leader was living inside the Turkish controlled part of Syria.
Al Quarishi was created and backed by CIA/Mossad his use was over hence flushed down the toilet pan USA/zionist entity and NATO have moving goal post they will create a new group with new gimmicks
Propaganda or top US mercenary not needed anymore.
Ahh, you ‘killed Kenny’ again, apparently, because you happen to have said so, of course you did dipshit, of course you did…
Pretty certain that this Zionist c*nt hasn’t been popped by the Zio-Yanks but has been airlifted to some safe haven in Iraq or perhaps, Tanf base, for further training and orders!
