On March 20, General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping arrived in Moscow. He was greeted with honors in Russia.
Immediately after his plane landed in the Vnukovo airport in Moscow, Xi Jinping made some fundamental claims. He expressed confidence that his visit to Moscow will be fruitful and will give a new impetus to the development of relations with Russia.
China and Russia are good neighbors and reliable partners.
In a far from peaceful world, China is ready to stand guard with Russia over international law.
On March 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin published his article “Russia and China: A Future-Bound Partnership” in the official newspaper of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party People’s Daily (Rénmín Rìbào), where he also claimed:
Together with like-minded people, our countries consistently advocate the formation of a more equitable multipolar world order based on international law, and not on certain “rules” that serve the needs of the “golden billion”

Xi Jinping’s landmark visit to Russia for a meeting with Vladimir Putin is scheduled for March 20-22. This is his first trip abroad and the first state visit after being re-elected to the post of head of state for a third term.
According to the Kremlin’s press service, during the talks Vladimir Putin plans to discuss with his Chinese counterpart top issues of the development of “comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation between Russia and China.”
The two leaders will also exchange views on deepening cooperation in the international arena, and important bilateral documents will be signed.
