The front on the Pokrovsk direction has significantly come into motion in recent days. Zelensky found a way to send 18-year-olds to the war. A new terrorist attack against Russia is being prepared in the Baltic Sea
In the Kursk Region, the aftermath of the recent counterattack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) from near Makhnovka is still being eliminated. Russian troops are clearing the area of Ukrainian forces that have dispersed into forested areas. Russian marines are advancing in the vicinity of Kurilovka, approaching Sudzha from the southern side of the town. The area is partially mined. The Russians also managed to dislodge Ukrainian troops from a number of strongholds in Sverdlikovo and around this locality. Moreover, a counterattack of the UAF towards Russkoye Porechnoye (northwestern section of the front) was repulsed. Kiev is moving tanks and groups of Western mercenaries (from the Czech Republic and Canada) into the Kursk Region.
Russian UAV operators eliminate enemy groups with grenade drops
It has now become clear that from a tactical point of view it is “no big deal” for the Russians to destroy the Ukrainian grouping that has invaded the Kursk Region – by cutting it off from the border, taking it into a cauldron and creating conditions for the enemy to surrender.
However, the Russian General Staff has obviously set another task – to grind down the elite units of the UAF that are being transferred there, which could provide active resistance to the advancing units of the Russian Armed Forces (RAF) in other directions. It is no coincidence that after the invasion of the Kursk Region there was an immediate tendency to increase the pace of the RAF’ offensive in the southern Donetsk and Kharkiv directions.
In the north of the Kupyansk direction, the Ukrainian army still found opportunities to organize a counterattack on Dvurechnoye, located on the right bank of the Oskol River, where Russian troops are expanding their zone of control. However, the Ukrainians did not achieve any visible success.

In the Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) direction, there is counter-fighting and counterattacks by the UAF, which, however, have not been successful. The Russians continue their offensive near Udachnoye and at the Nadeyevka-Sribnoye line. Nevertheless, information continues to be received about the UAF’s intentions to continue counter-battles in order to slow down the advance of Russian troops and transfer reserves.
Right flank. The UAF units took control of the road junction on the highway near Malinovka and continue to attack the heights east of Malinovka. In Vodyanoye Vtoroye, there are counter battles for the industrial zone of the settlement and in the area of Beryozovka. To the southwest, fierce fighting continues for Elizavetovka. Russian assault units are attacking Zelenoye Polye from the direction of Baranivka and Balka.
Left flank. The advance of Ukrainian units south-east of Kotlino was blocked. The Ukrainians were unable to break through to Zverevo, but success awaited them in Peschanoye (they entered its western part). In the area of Zverevo and Peschanoye, the UAF used ground drones with remote-controlled machine guns. South of Udachnoye, north of the Solyonaya River, Russian units advanced in the eastern part of Novosergeevka.
In the Konstantinople direction, the RAF are advancing in Andreevka, adjacent to Constantinople.
After the taking of Velika Novosilka, the assault units of the Russian Vostok group of forces continued to carry out combat missions to destroy the enemy and cut into the depth of his defenses on a wide front.
In the area of the Sukhi Yaly river north-west of the village of Zelenovka, Russian assault units are advancing towards the village of Konstantinople.
East of Zelenovka, Russians have managed to extend their operational control zone up to 4 kilometers, which makes it possible to block the escape routes of the remnants of Ukrainian formations from Dachnoye and reach Ulakly.
Northwest of Vremivka, the RAF continue their offensive on a broad front. Areas of forest belts are being cleared with the occupation of heights, the total advance was up to 1 km in depth and more than 3 km along the front. To the north of Vremivka-Temirovka several forest belts were cleared and strongholds were captured in an area more than 1 km deep and up to 1.5 km in front.
Artillery and UAVs inflicted a complex defeat on Ukrainian manpower and equipment. The destruction of up to 50 personnel, a UAV, a mortar and four vehicles was reported. Two M-777 and D-30 howitzers were hit from artillery.
In the Krasnolimansk direction, Russian forces continue to develop tactical success, deepening their control over key positions near Ivanivka, Yampolivka and Terniv. At the same time, firing on Ukrainian fortifications is intensifying in anticipation of possible forced offensives.
The RAF are conducting assault operations on the outskirts of Yampolovka, and with the support of armored vehicles and artillery continue to penetrate deep into the settlement. Tactical successes create prerequisites for further dislodging the enemy from the fortifications, but the Ukrainians in this sector offer fierce resistance, clinging to every defensive position, as well as using a large number of FPV drones.
Russian units are undertaking offensive actions aimed at expanding the bridgehead on the right bank of the Zherebets River south of Ivanovka, creating conditions for assault actions from several flanks in the direction of Kolodyazi. It is noted that the expansion of the zone in this sector will complicate the logistics of the UAF and create conditions for further advances into the Krasnolimansk fortified area.
South of the village of Terny, Russian troops are carrying out a massive fire attack on enemy fortifications, depleting the remnants of Ukrainian reserves. In the area of Novolubovka, the Russian army is also conducting active artillery shelling of the UAF positions on the right bank of the Zherebets River, probing the enemy’s defense in different sectors.
In the Kharkiv direction, units of the Russian Northern group of forces struck the manpower and equipment of the UAF’s tank brigade and Ukrainian territorial defence battalions in the areas of Velikiy Burluk and Olkhovatka in the Kharkiv Region. The UAF lost up to 20 servicemen, an armored fighting vehicle, an artillery gun and an ammunition depot.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, no significant changes so far, the “drone war” continues. The Ukrainian military hit a civilian car with a drone on the highway Mikhaylovka-Vasilievka.

On the political and diplomatic front, Volodymyr Zelensky said that he plans to exchange parts of Kursk Region occupied by the UAF for the territories occupied by Russian troops as part of the upcoming peace talks. At the same time, he came out with a proposal of a special contract to people 18-25 years old. For a year of service in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, they are promised $24,000 and admission to a university without exams.
Meanwhile, the Russian Armed Forces have become more active in the Kupyansk area and near Volchansk, while a strike on Konstantinovka is being prepared. As soon as Chasov Yar is taken, a new cauldron for the UAF will be formed near Seversk.

A hasty transfer of Ukrainian troops from near Kharkiv, which had previously been heading to the Kursk region, has already begun. As for the negotiating positions, the Kremlin will not sit down at the negotiating table until the Kursk Region is released. This was stated by the secretary of the Russian Security Council and former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
Kiev, having no more military or diplomatic levers of pressure on Moscow, has ordered its intelligence services to increase the intensity of terrorist attacks and sabotage against the facilities of the fuel and energy sector, transport, and the defense-industrial complex of the Russian Federation. The goals are to damage the enemy’s economy and intimidate Russian citizens.
Since the beginning of 2025, 23 terrorist attacks have been prevented in Russia in different regions of the country. This is just over one month.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) said that Ukrainian security services, supported by Western handlers, were planning to organize a number of high-profile anti-Russian provocations. According to their information, a foreign vessel is expected to be blown up using Russian mines in the Baltic Sea, and Moscow will be blamed for this.
According to Ukrainian and Western security services, such a military sabotage operation could lead to NATO’s decision to ban Russia’s access to the Baltic Sea.
