On February 19, the Armed Forces of Ukraine supported by the NATO military attempted an attack in the Russian rear areas using British kamikaze UAV.
Russian FSB, units of the military commandant’s office and the Russian Guard intercepted a British kamikaze drone Banshee Jet 80 in the Novoazovsky district of the DPR.
The Russian military managed to intercept control of the UAV and land it in the fields far from the residential areas. After the controlled landing, the specialists defused the warhead, which included seven kilograms of explosive and destroyed the charge on the spot.
The decoding of the flight mission revealed that the target of the strike was an object of the civil infrastructure of Mariupol. The drone was supposed to approach the target from the Taganrog Bay and make a circle over the Novoazovsky district; but the attack failed.
Banshee Jet 80 is twin-jet engine powered drone, which entered service in 2010.
The current version is fitted with twin 40kg thrust gas turbine engines giving a total of 80kg of static thrust. This offers an increase in the maximum straight and level airspeed of up to 180 metres/second. The use of an auxiliary fuel tank ensures that endurance is similar to that of the single engine version with a typical mixed throttle mission time in excess of 45 minutes.
When fitted with the patented Hot Nose the target provides a forward and side-looking IR source with output in Bands I, II and III, whilst the jet engines provide a realistic rearward looking Infrared (IR) signature.
All other well proven augmentation devices traditionally available to Banshee can be fitted to this latest twin jet engine derivative.
The UK has repeatedly announced the supply of various drones to Ukraine, including promises to send “hundreds of kamikaze drones” with a range of up to 200 km.
According to the reports from the Ukrainian frontlines, the Ukrainian military began using gifts from the UK in February 2024. On February 7, previously unknown Ukrainian kamikaze UAV shot down by Russian air defense. The warhead of the drone was equipped with shrapnel for a greater damaging effect on personnel, and the engine was a German P400-PRO jet, freely sold on the Internet. In two days, on February 19, another similar drone was intercepted by Russian air defense forces. The drones had common features with the British Banshee Jet 80+ jet target UAVs. Thus, it is possible that they were also assembled in the UK.
british drones start failing in ukraine. nice trophies thou
if they have lucas electronics, they’ll be falling out of the sky all by themselves.
thanks to the monkey islanders for the free sample. dismantle, copy and document all parts, and then send to china, iran, syria, venezuela, north corea, hisbollah, huthi…..for mass production
no one will want them if the russians can disable them in flight.
i wonder how the uk would feel if russian drones were launched by a “3rd party” into uk territory? hopefully, if this ever happens, the drones won’t be targeting innocent civilians.
this is whats so outrageous, russia should have hit british and nato assets long ago.
i doubt lloyd austin is still with us. it’s very risky to be a nato liaison in ukraine.
as a brit, i can’t say that it wouldn’t be justifiable retaliation but hope that if it did happen the target would be the warmongers directly responcible for creating and maintaining this sick proxy war!
i could see some use for the drones in northern ireland, good idea
the us state dept would never sanction that, like they would not sanction the use of sam7s against the lifeblood of the british army in rural ireland, helicopters, low flying at that. the ira were just another tool of the us security state, like isis, azov or the mek.
i just know about the barrets they got from america. didnt know they got manpads from them. i would not dismiss the whole movement as a us tool, they didnt follow a radical ideology unlike the other groups you mentioned. its known the ira was often infiltrated by brit intellegence. republicans, unionists, everyones a tool to some extent but the armed campaigns were always preceded by british provocations. in the end, do the irish really have a different choice than armed struggle?
milei, could you do another video of your daffy duck routine again? for the kids, they so enjoyed the other ones. one of you jumping up and down, flailing your arms around at the wailing wall would be great. thanx so much.
i’ll be on tour in northern gaza where i will go nuts in front of the idf, heard they could use more motivation. stay tuned!
i wonder how the uk would feel if it woke up one morning and decided to join the human race.
let’s face the fact. if a country is actively supporting a warring side, it’s participating the war. for example, if two guys are fistfighting, and i give a knife to the other guy, am i participating, or just watching?
a russian sub could sink a big uk ship. and if questioned russia shoudl say, we have no idea what you are talking about, must be a third party.
they could say, well – you said you were just protecting yourselves against iranian missile launches, so they must’ve snuck a sub in there under your noses. we were having lunch at the time anyway and besides, we have zircons for the job. why pull our sub crews away from their lunch hour? they could get grumpy.
dear tomboy. i hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but one russian sub could sink half of america’s east coast.
you’re not only giving the guy a knife but you goaded him into fighting the other guy to begin with.
the jew k really is a jew run scumbag country. somebody needs to remind them it’s not the 1800’s anymore, and it’s a washed up shitty island filled with muzzies and child molesters.
if they keep escalating this and nato starts taking on russia, i hope a sarmat missile takes out london.
then the whole of russia will be a nuclear waste land. why do you orca think you are the only ones with nukes?
dream on monkey islander, russia is too big for your 225 missiles and russia has produced 600 s-400 unit’s so far and only the russians know how many s-400 missiles they have.
one sarmat includes 10 to 15 warheads, enough to take out the whole jew k
now they can study it so they can down it before it go down by itself…
if it’s lucas electronics, no need to bother. they’re programmed to self-destruct before the job’s done..
more low quality brutish junk. that **** little island needs to find a real purpose in life
they want to be masters of the universe. instead they became monsters in a children’s verse, or clowns on a unicycle waving a union jack, like bozo’s high wire act. take your pick.
russia only needs to look at the slander news articles coming from msm western regimes affiliates to know who are doing the bashing putin i will give a hint most of them have headquarters in tel aviv your zionists rotten friends
time for the factory to be paid an unsuspecting visit, and sabotage operations ..
target technologies ltd, unit m/westminster ind est, swadlincote de12 7ds
russia will soon be the ” go to ” for weapons purchases by most of the world not in the eu, nato or the americas.
keď dokázali ruskí vojaci prevziať kontrolu nad dronmi vyrobenými vo vb tak tie by už nemali predstavovať takú veľkú hrozbu.
not many people talk about the nifty russian tech. somehow they must know about the guidance systems well enough to send their own coordination signals to down it gracefully.
