The BT-3F is an amphibious armoured vehicle based on the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. The original turret was replaced by a smaller remote weapon station with either 7.62, 12.7 or 14.5mm machine gun. It can accommodate a crew commander, driver, gunner, and 14 troops, and can use optional ERA armour.

That would turn it back into an IFV, the whole point of an APC is to carry troops. The IFV is intended to carry fewer troops in order to increase firepower, beginning with the BMP-1 and the Marder IFV (not to be confused with the Marder I, II and III used in WWII).

There was a proposed recon variant of the BMP-3 called the BRM-3K armed with a 30mm autocannon that was never put into production, the BT3F has never seen service with Russian armed forces but was sold to Indonesia for use by their naval marines, together with the BMP-3F and the original variant of the Sprut amphibious/airborne light tank destroyer with a 125mm main gun and 7.62x39mm remote-controlled machine gun. I suspect the BRM-3K with the AU-220M turret and 57mm semi-auto cannon will be put into service some point between 2021-2024.
There is also the proposed Udar UCGV (Unmanned Combat Ground Vehicle) on the BMP-3 chassis, the role proposed is reconnaissance.

14 is a lot for that little one. Good design for the top of it, where some more troopers can be added.

US Navy currently has 2 aircraft carriers in the Middle East, and 1 amphibious assault ship in the Red Sea! MAJOR US MILITARY OPERATION being prepared to destroy Hezbollah in Iraq and Syria.
Currently off the Saudi Coast – USS Truman and USS Eisenhower – each carrying a combined 180 fighter jets including 100 F/A-18 Super Hornets, 30 EA-18 Growlers, 40 F-18C, and 10 EA-6 Prowlers!
Each carrier group has 4 guided-missile cruisers/destroyers (2 arleigh burke class and 2 ticonderoga class) meaning up to 12 destroyers in total! arleigh burke can carry 96 Tomahawk missiles while the Ticonderoga’s can carry 122! Meaning a combined force of maximum 1308 tomahawk missiles ready for launch!
USS Bataan also in Red Sea carrying up to 20 F-35 stealth fighters!
US Military has a combined force of 200 fighter jets, stealth fighters, electronic warfare jets, and up to 1000 tomahawks ready for launch at Iran. NO DOUBT, iraqi and syrian hezbollah will be utterly pulverized and destroyed. There’s NOWHERE they can run or hide from such immense firepower. They will be ended.

True …. You can bet the ‘russkies and Chinese’ have satellites over those assets right now monitoring them.
For sure they’re going to bid on them when the bankruptcy sale comes up but in the mean time if the USN has to evacuate the crew in International waters they can be picked up for free under salvage laws.
In a couple of weeks as the virus progresses these ships are going to be just like the cruise ships floating around that no one will let dock. Too many sick and dying sailors to crew the ships so no choice but to evacuate the ships and this virus doesn’t seem to produce immunity so the virus will just keep cycling through sailors until they’re either off the boat or dead.
