A newly-established headquarters of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) in northern al-Raqqa was targeted with a car bomb in the morning of October 25.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported that the explosion killed at least a person and injured many others.
“A booby-trapped car exploded in the town of Hamam al-Turkmen in Tell Abyad countryside in front of a former Asayish [security forces of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces] center, where factions loyal to Turkey established a headquarters after occupying town days ago,” the UK-based monitoring group’s report reads.
A day earlier, four people were injured when a similar car bomb exploded near a headquarters of the Glory Corps in Tell Abyad’s town center. The group is one of the key members of the SNA.
No side has claimed responsibility for the attacks, yet. ISIS cells are known to be active in the region. However, Kurdish forces, which lost Tell Abyad and its surroundings earlier this month, could be responsible.
The whole thing smells a bit like a Turkish trial to get more influence around their own soil. So hopefully the SAA with help from Russian Federation will kick these gangsters out of Syria. And the Kurds better side with Assads governmental structures and join the defense against Turkish landgrabbing under the untruthful label of “fighting terrorism around our borders”…
