On September 12, a car bombing hit the Turkish city of Van in the eastern part of country. According to media reports, the explosion took place near the provincial administration and wounded 48 people. Nobody was killed.
“At 10:50 [07:50 GMT] as a result of a parked vehicle explosion, 48 people were injured, including 46 civilians and two police officers. Two are in critical condition,” a statement at the provincial administration website reads.
The rulling party AKP’s local office in city of Van is also located near the scene.
