Early on September 26, two ballistic missiles struck the central Yemeni city of Ma’rib that is held by Saudi-backed forces.

The attack took place as Saudi Arabia’s allies in the city, including senior local officials, were gathered to celebrate the September 26 Revelation that saw the birth of the Republic of Yemen in 1970.

Col. Yahya Al-Hatami, head of the Military Information Department in the pro-Saudi wing of the Yemeni military, said that the missiles landed in residential areas and damaged a hospital.

According to official sources, the attack claimed the lives of five people and wounded 17 others, including three journalists who were covering the revaluation celebration. All the casualties were allegedly civilians.

The Houthis, who have been advancing towards Ma’rib city for more than seven months now, were reportedly behind the missile attack. The Yemen group is yet to confirm this.

Earlier this week, al-Khashinah military camp, one of the main positions of Saudi-backed forces to the south of Ma’rib city, was targeted by a number of missiles. The attack destroyed most of the camp including large ammunition depots. Back then, the Houthis were blamed by pro-Saudi news outlets.

In the last few days, the Saudi-led coalition intensified its airstrikes on Houthi forces advancing towards Ma’rib city. The airstrikes killed 43 Houthi fighters in the last 48 hours, according to the France-Press Agency, AFP.

The saudi clowns are short of sudanese mercs. Their own soldiers are cowards unfit for real combat.
