Central Syria: Dozens Of Russian Airstrikes Hit ISIS Cells In Response To Attack On Eastern Homs, Hama

Early on November 12, ISIS cells in central Syria launched a large-scale attack on pro-government forces in eastern Homs and Hama.

According to Syrian opposition activists, the terrorists attacked positions of the National Defense Forces near the ancient city of Palmyra and the town of al-Sukhnah in the eastern countryside of Homs as well as in the outskirts of the town of al-Salamiyah in the eastern Hama countryside.

ISIS terrorists used heavy weapons, including rockets, during their attack. Nevertheless, government forces showed serious resistance.

The attack provoked a fierce response by the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS). Russian warplanes carried out more than 40 airstrikes on ISIS hideouts in central Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

“Three warplanes took turns targeting the areas of the Islamic State organization in Ithriyah desert and the Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa triangle, in addition to the Palmyra desert in the eastern countryside of Homs,” the London-based monitoring group said in a report.

It remains unclear if ISIS terrorists were able to capture any position or inflict any losses on government forces during the large-scale attack.

ISIS has been attempting to expand its influence in central Syria for a while now, to no avail. Syrian government forces, with support from the VKS, continue to guard all urban centers and key roads in the region.

As long as the Syrian army and Russia dont exterminate the support lines from Turky, yankees and nato, these parasites will florish.

Cromwell

Thats it,its a strange way to fight a war, they watch convoy after convoy enter Syria from Turkey and Iraq with Americans, they watch long lines of terrorist convoys on the road, all should be exterminated from the air on site.

Lone Ranger

I wouldn’t worry. Russia employed the same tactics in Vietnam and won.

Cromwell

Russia didn’t employ any tactics in Vietnam they were not there.

Peter Wallace

They may have done a few fighter flights in the north but not sure about that . Certainly weren’t there other than supplying arms so not sure what tactics he is talking about.

Peter Wallace

What tactics were those if they didn’t do anything but supply arms.

Lone Ranger

Who do you think trained and run NV air force? Who operated radar stations and SAMs? Who run intel?

Peter Wallace

From video’s I have seen that was NVA .Russia may have provided some training as did China but they were insignificant and certainly didn’t confront the US .

Lone Ranger

Ok :)

Peter Wallace

As the original communist state, the Soviet Union aided North Vietnam, with increasing support in the late 1960s. While the U.S.S.R. supplied some troops, their biggest contribution was in weaponry… So whatever …..

Peter Wallace

More than likely inserted from and or resupplied via Al Tanf for Palmyra and also from the SDF side of the Euphrates by guess who.

Lone Ranger

Condolences to the fallen wahabimossad and CIAisis operators. May they rest in pieces…

It is well known that ISIS is trained by the Mossad and Israeli special forces in the Negev desert. The ISIS terrorists are then deployed to harass the Axis of Resistance in their fight against the tyranny of Zio-Globalism. For is it not the case that wherever ISIS appears, it is only the Zionists who benefit?
