On June 23 and 24, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) carried out more than 60 airstrikes on ISIS cells in Syria’s central region, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Russian airstrikes targeted ISIS hideouts in:
- The al-Bishri Mount on the administrative border between Raqqa and Deir Ezzor;
- The outskirts of the town of al-Sukhnah in the eastern countryside of Homs;
- The al-Amour Mount in the eastern countryside of Homs.
The VKS’ airstrikes were carried out in support of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) 5th Crops. Earleir this week, the Russian-backed Syrian unit launched a combing operation between western Deir Ezzor and eastern Homs.
Despite intense Russian airstrikes and the SAA’s ongoing operations, ISIS cells in the central region continue to carry out attacks.
On June 23, two Syrian soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded when they were ambushed by ISIS cells in the al-Abyad valley near the ancient city of Palmyra in the eastern Homs countryside. A day later, a landmine planted by the terrorists killed four pro-government fighters and injured six others near the town of Rasm Ghazali in the eastern countryside of Hama.
The SAA and its allies inflicted heavy losses on ISIS cells in the central region over the last few months. Nevertheless, the terrorist group’s insurgency will not likely end anytime soon.
Once again, smoke and mirros guys, smo…. nah just kidding.
What a nightmare for the SAA. Sooner or later, they will prevail. The western backed goat screwing terrorists can’t hide out in the desert forever.
Shouldn’t you be at a homoerotic isis bar doing belly dance?
Condolences to the fallen wahabimossad and CIAisis operators. May they rest in pieces…
The SAA & allies can exterminate zio-wahabbi-turk rats at a minimum 10 to 1 ratio indefinitely. No future serving satan while pretending to have a “holy cause”.
