More than 50 terrorists of ISIS had been killed in central Syria over the past month as a result of airstrikes carried out by the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on April 30.
According to the London-based monitoring group, Russian warplanes carried out at least 1,260 airstrikes on ISIS cells in central Syria.
“SOHR activists documented the death of 59 ISIS members and the injury of 38 others due to over 1,260 Russian airstrikes on their positions in the Syrian desert,” the SOHR’s report reads.
Most of the terrorists were killed in the deserts of Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and Homs, while the rest got killed in the Hama-Aleppo-Raqqa triangle.
Despite the immense pressure imposed by the VKS and Syrian government forces, ISIS terrorists continue to operate in different parts of central Syria.
Last week, the terrorists ambushed a convoy of the Syrian Arab Army in eastern Homs, clashed with a newly-deployed military unit in southern Raqqa and attacked a post of the army in northern Deir Ezzor.
The situation in central Syria improved significantly in the last two months. Nevertheless, more efforts are needed to fully neutralize ISIS presence there.

That was a McNamara thing in Vietnam. War by data . We must be winning going by the killed count. It is how many left that are willing to fight that counts. Field commanders in Vietnam were chastised if their kill count was too low to match the data required so numbers were inflated to keep the number crunchers happy. The numbers said they were winning but the results were a little different. Replacements by North Vietnam exceeded the death rate . 1260 airstrikes to kill 59… 23 strikes to kill one terrorist.. They must be pretty tough to withstand that many bombings.
To me it seemes the SOHR network often arevery reliable even thye make 100% mistakes two.
Right here I would add the Russian and SOHR numbers and divide with two. Not all registration has been all over.
