China’s Qingdao Wuchuan Heavy Industry is developing a unmanned amphibious combat vehicle. The vehicle has a length of 12m, a width of 4 m and a max speed of about 50 knots. According to reports, the vehicle titled “Sea Lizard” is being developed for possible military actions in the area of contested islands in the South China Sea.

The vehicle can be intergrated with other units and equipment with China’s exclusive satellite navigation system, BeiDou.

The good news is that future wars might be decided by Battle-bot-style robot battles instead of dead humans. I think the Sea Lizard would be pretty harmless if your robot flipped it on it’s back. The bad news with robot wars is that the citizens of both countries have to agree to be oppressed by the same winner’s government, learn their language and use the same style public bathrooms.

Many versions of the ideas are invened during time. This might bring some good waterpump and by that act as firebrigade for smaller ships and close to harbour inviroment.

My d´fantasy says it might be usefull as such. Good pictures.

Nasty stuff on the horizon. I hope a handful of F-16s was worth it.

In WWII it was American manufacturing ability, not troops that played a major role. Today that manufacturing ability, times 10 is in China. Even if China lacks the technology as the US did at the beginning of WWII, Russia will supply it, just as the UK supplied it to the US.

They’ll carry explosives and detonate at preselected targets, I fear.
