On October 11, Chinese and Indian troops started joint anti-terrorism military drills in Kunming, capital of southwest China’s Yunnan Province.
This event is a part of the annual exchange program between the countries’ armed forces.
144 personnel from southwest China’s Chengdu Military Command joined an equal number of Indian counterparts for the drill, code-named “Hand-in-Hand 2015,” Chinese Defense Ministry spokesperson Wu Qian said.
Despite the ongoing technical and security cooperation between two countires, India is still an important element of the US strategy to counter China in the Indo-Asia-Pacific Region. More information here:
