China’s Chengdu J-20 stealth fifth-generation fighter jets carried out training over the sea the first time, Chinese news agency Xinhua reported on May 9.
Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) spokeswoman Shen Jinke stated that air force fighters and bombers drills over the South China Sea are aimed at developing security of the country:
“It will help the air force better fulfill its sacred duty of safeguarding China’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity.”
Chinese air force spokesman Shen Jinke was quoted by state media as saying that air force fighters and bombers had…

The Chinese military drills were held amid the US-Philippine joint military training. According to Singapore newspaper The Strait Times, about 180 Filipino and US 160 marines participated in amphibious landing exercises.
On May 3, US and Philippine forces launched their largest joint military exercises under Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. According to Philippine officials, the exercises were the part of the annual Balikatan military training focused on developing skills in fighting terrorism, chemical attacks and disaster response.
As the tensions in the South China Sea are growing, the so-called “trade war” between China and the USA is continuing.
On May 3, the US delegation arrived in Beijing to carry out 2-day talks with Chinese officials on trade issues. Without being acknowledged with any details of these negotiations, two world powers announced about the second round of talks.
On May 7, Sarah Sanders pointed out that the trade talks would continue in Washington next week to come clear in these economic issues.
On May 8, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang described the US statement over the second round of talks as a “positive signal”.
However, the spokesman for Chinese Ministry of Commerce Gao Feng stressed that China wouldn’t change its stance in the economical negotiations, Reuters reported on May 10:
“The United States must put away its threatening stick. China’s position has not changed and will not change.”
Trade tensions raised on April 3, when Washington published a list of 1,333 Chinese imports with worth about $50 billion, for punitive tariffs of 25 %. On April 5, the US President Donald Trump stated the readiness to increase the tariffs up to $ 100 million. On April 6, China promised to respond with the same measures to the USA.
lol looks like a F-22 crossed with a F-35. Welcome to the 21st century, just a few more hacks and stolen tech and you might catch up with the United States of America!
I don’t know, it looks pretty good to me. I’m willing to bet it does a pretty good job launching missiles, which in modern warfare is the only thing that matters when it comes to judging any of these aircraft.
You can have your F-22s and F-35s. Give me 5 times as many P-51s loaded with new generation missiles and let’s throw down and see who wins.
Avionist actually released analysis data of the Chinese planes and turned out it maybe more stealthier than F35 with it’s air intakes covered and toothed exhaust.
There is the Super Tucano, and it can shoot AA missiles.
lol p51 ? what happens when you run out of missiles ?
I had more to start with. I’ll trade my P-51s for their F-22s. They’ll run out of planes before I run out of missiles. Missiles are way cheaper to build.
Joking aside, with the advancement in missile technology over the past 30 years I’m left wondering why we bother to build manned fighters. Nobody dogfights anymore. All they are now are missile launching platforms. Drones can do that for a lot less money. Wouldn’t be good for Lockheed Martin, though.
I think it comes back to it. There needs to be someone ready to carry on the fight after missiles run out. There is a reason why the designers of the F22 included a vulcan gun on it.
Single weakest component in fighter A/C that limits its performance (G-Loads) is the human pilot> No pilot, No problem pulling Extreme G-Loads well beyond pilot
Come on Man> In Korea P-51s were no match for MIG-15s, so North American (builder of P-51) came up w/the F-86 Sabre to match MIG-15s speed> Prop’s R no match vs Jets
You seem to be fixated on dogfighting ability. I don’t care about dogfighting ability. My missile platform isn’t going to be coming close to the other guys missile platform. So why are we spending billions of dollars trying to build planes that can out Snoopy-vs-Red Baron the other sides planes?
I don’t give a crap whether a J-20 can beat a F-22 in some version of Top Gun. This isn’t the 80’s anymore.
Aircraft design is not the same thing as breeding dogs.
it is when it comes to the chinese lol
This is a close copy of the look of the Russian MiG-1.44 stealth fighter canceled.
That’s like saying Falcon 9 is a close copy of the V-2 rocket. And MiG-1.44 is not a stealth fighter.
I don’t what worth these fighters but like Chinese are 1.5 millions, number will win. USA can’t fight China.
Also, murican are too selfish, they rather flee to somewhere else than fight a real war… but who can blame them? I wouldn’t want die for zionists too.
That’s an other reason why Americans can’t win this war.
J20 looks familiar…
