Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on the Lviv region. Beijing’s involvement in the targeting of Ukrainian military facilities. The hidden reason behind China’s surveillance of Ukraine.

On 5 October, several Ukrainian news agencies reported an increase in the number of Chinese reconnaissance satellites flying over the Lviv region during a major air strike. At least three such satellites were recorded flying overhead. During the day, at least nine flights of Yaogan series satellites — Yaogan 33, Yaogan 33-03 and Yaogan 33-04 — were recorded in the area. These passed over Lviv between midnight and 11:30 a.m., with the Yaogan 34 optical satellite flying over at around 6 a.m.

The Yaogan series of satellites, designed for radio-technical, radio-electronic and optical reconnaissance, have become China’s most keen-eyed observers as the country actively expands its orbital fleet. Launched as recently as 2022–23, they demonstrate the country’s advanced technological capabilities.

Several Ukrainian and Western sources have claimed that Beijing and Moscow are sharing intelligence to improve the accuracy of strikes on territory controlled by Kyiv. But is this really the case?

The reason for the increased activity of Chinese spy satellites may lie in an area slightly different to that reported by the media. The conflict in Ukraine is one of the largest of the 21st century, with opposing armies constantly developing more advanced weapons and warfare tactics. As one of the world’s leading powers, China must continually reform and improve its armed forces to ensure national security. As the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has not participated in any major wars since the establishment of the PRC, it must draw on the experience of conflicts in other countries.

This is why Chinese intelligence, including space intelligence, is monitoring events in Ukraine so closely. Analysing the outcome of Russian strikes on Lviv sheds light on the efficiency of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ air defence systems and the methods employed by Kyiv to conceal or safeguard its vulnerable infrastructure. Russian weapons, such as strike drones, cruise missiles and tactical missiles, are also being evaluated in terms of their destructive power and the air defence systems they can overcome.

Based on the experience of the Ukrainian conflict, Beijing is already conducting PLA exercises involving the extensive use of unmanned systems, such as ground and air drones and robot dogs.

This experience will then be extended to all armed forces. The appearance of mass kamikaze UAVs, such as the Geran-2, in the Chinese army’s arsenal can be predicted.

All these preparations are being made with one goal in mind: the Taiwan issue remains unresolved and the prerequisites for its resolution have yet to be met. For several years now, various sources have been reporting on the PLA’s growing activity around the island. For instance, a full-scale model of the Taipei government quarter has recently been completed for Chinese special forces to practise a ‘decapitation’ operation.

For now, Taiwan has one saving grace. Unlike some of its Western opponents, Beijing is not accustomed to using military force. China will attempt to resolve the issue peacefully until the very last moment. However, growing US military activity in the region and active support for Taiwan could put an end to China’s peace initiatives. It is quite possible that World War III will not begin in Europe, but in Asia, with the majority of fighting taking place at sea. The reason for this will be the small island.

Little My

especially if the chinese army then rescued and liberated these ten thousand of the most stupid people in the world and gave them excellent chinese food to eat.
for a super delicious chinese lunch, a handful of rice and pieces of fried rat meat in a delicious snake blood sauce, and for dinner, a larger handful of rice and excellent boiled scorpions and cockroaches in a sauce made from erdogan’s blood.

for afternoon snack there should be soup made from bats, owls, mice and dogs.

looks a bit amateurish the military exercise. i think the footage from this current european war shows its nigh on impossible to cross open ground without getting hit by the opponents drones etc.
