Two booby-trapped motorcycles exploded in the Turkish-occupied part of the northern Aleppo countryside, known as the Euphrates Shield (ES) area, on July 3.
Enab Baladi, a pro-opposition news outlet, said that the first explosion occurred near the Umar ibn al-Khattab mosque in the center of the city of al-Bab, while the second one took place in the main market of the town of Qabasin.
“The areas targeted by the two booby-trapped motorcycles were witnessing civilian traffic and congestions, as they are known for being commercial areas,” a reporter of the outlet said.
According to local sources, one civilian was killed and fifteen others were injured as a result of the explosions in al-Bab and Qabasin.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombings, yet. However, opposition activists said that Kurdish forces were behind the coordinated attacks.
In the last few months, the ES area witnessed a series of explosions that killed or injured dozens of civilians. However, the Turkish military and its proxies have done nothing to improve the security situation.
