On December 26, clashes and artillery duels between the Syrian Army and militant groups were reported near the settlements of Braidij and Tal Hawwash in northern Hama.On December 25, clashes were reported near the settlements of Latmin and Zeizoun in the nearby area.
Both sides accuse each other of violating the ceasefire regime on a cosntant basis. However, in fact, the ceasefire does not work there and only its real sign is the absense of large-scale ground operations by any of the sides.
On December 26, the Russian Defense Ministry also released a fresh report on violations of the ceasefire regime in northwestern Syria:
“Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 4 cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia-2, Aleppo-1, Idlib-1.
The Turkish side has registered 15 cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Aleppo-1, Latakia-3, Idlib-4, and Hama-7..”
