In the Sloviansk sector, Russian units continue to form a semi-encirclement of Krasnyi Liman and are fighting within the city limits. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the most intense clashes have been reported along the Prymorske–Novoyakovlivka line, where a wedge is forming toward Zaporizhzhia, as well as in the Stepnohirsk area. In the Kupiansk sector, assault groups have made a five-kilometer breakthrough from Dvurechna to Kutkivka, threatening to block an important highway. In the Sumy sector, assault units are advancing quickly, and in the Kharkiv sector, they are methodically pushing through the defense in forested areas despite fierce resistance and the transfer of reserves. Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó stated that the European Union has not abandoned plans to move the training of Ukrainian military personnel by European instructors to Ukrainian territory.
Zaporizhzhia Sector
In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the most tense situation persists near Zaporizhzhia, along the line between Prymorske and Novoyakovlivka. Here, Russian “Dnipro” units are forming a wedge toward the city.
Airborne assault units are fighting for control of Prymorske, and according to some reports, clashes are ongoing in the neighboring town of Richne. In Prymorske itself, the situation is characterized by the complex intermingling of ultra-small group positions. The offensive is complicated by difficult-to-traverse, open terrain: overgrown former reservoirs and fields on the eastern heights.
Fierce fighting continues for the neighboring town of Stepnohirsk. Ukrainian units can still transfer reinforcements to the northern block of multistory buildings. Attempts to dislodge them are being made with drone and aviation strikes. Earlier, there were attempts to cut supply routes by capturing the industrial zone to the northwest, which was later hit by an airstrike.
The intense fighting for Stepnohirsk is due to the fact that the captured high-rise buildings prevent complete consolidation in the settlement and the development of an offensive further north towards Veselianka while simultaneously expanding the wedge towards Zaporizhzhia.
The situation along the Lukyanivske–Novoyakovlivka line remains extremely difficult. Although units have entered both settlements, it is premature to speak of full and stable control, as heavy clashes continue. The situation in the sector is assessed as complex. Reports are coming in about reserves being pulled up for possible counterattacks on the Prymorske–Novoyakovlivka line. Orikhiv remains an additional problem, as control over Novodanylivka has not been established, and Mala Tokmachka has not been fully captured.
After establishing control over Huliaipole, the offensive continued to develop on the western bank of the Haichur River. The Ukrainian command pulled up reserves with a noticeable delay and did not fully deploy them in Huliaipole. They are now using the reserves to attempt to infiltrate the interflute between the Haichur and Yanchur rivers.
This section was previously crossed quickly by units of the “East” grouping of troops but is now an area of increased activity by small groups. Due to difficult weather conditions and the nature of combat operations, controlling every tree line is problematic for both sides.
Fighting continues in the Terhnuvate area. Russian units are expanding a bridgehead on the western bank of the Haichur River. However, there has been no mention of establishing full control over the settlement yet; assault groups are operating in the village and its vicinity.
Sumy Sector
In the Sumy sector, units are advancing quickly deeper into the region. Aviation, strike drone crews, and heavy rocket artillery are effectively targeting identified areas in the rear. Organizational and staff measures to form new units that specialize in drone use are ongoing.
The Ukrainian 59th Separate Assault Brigade transferred drone crews to the Sumy region. During clashes, a crew and a platoon commander were destroyed.
Assault units of the Russian “North” grouping advanced on six subsectors in the Sumy district and on four in the Hlukhiv district. The total advance amounted to 750 meters. There have been no significant changes in the Tetkino and Hlushkivka areas. Artillery struck positions in the Ryzhivka and Iskryskivshchyna areas.
Near Oleksiivka, Russian 30th Motorized Rifle Regiment units advanced southward toward Mala Korchakivka. Heavy fighting continues in tree lines where Ukrainian units have fortified positions in forested areas and consolidated on dominant heights. Despite the difficult weather conditions, the advance continues.
Kharkiv Sector
In the Starytsia area, units advanced 350 meters on three subsectors and captured one forest section. Crews operating heavy flamethrower systems hit the positions of the Ukrainian 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade.
In the Symynivka area, they advanced 400 meters into a forested area on two subsectors. In the Volchanskiy Khutora area, assault groups captured eight homesteads and one position, advancing 300 meters. The 157th Separate Mechanized Brigade sustained significant losses during the fighting in this area, according to available data. The command is transferring units of the 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade to the area.
In the Khatnie area, assault groups advanced three subsectors by 250 meters. A Ukrainian 1221st Separate Support Battalion command post was destroyed by combined fire, and the battalion’s deputy commander was killed.
Kupiansk Sector
In the Kupiansk sector, between Dvurechna, Kutkivka, and Dovhenke, on the far western flank relative to Kupiansk, there are ongoing counterbattles. The clashes involve Russian units from the 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of the “West” grouping of troops and the 41st Separate Mechanized Brigade.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian assault groups supported by the 52nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion and tube and rocket artillery from the 9th Artillery Brigade advanced about five kilometers. They advanced from the western outskirts of Dvurechna to the southern outskirts of Kutkivka along the Nyzhnya Dvurechna River. As a result, the assault groups captured the private sector of the village along Sportyvna Street. This creates conditions that could lead to a long-term advance towards Lozova Druha and Lozova Persha and the subsequent blocking of the Velykyi Burluk – Monachynivka highway.
Formations of the 8th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion are attacking strongpoints in the village of Dovhenke to wedge into the defense on the northern flank near Dvurechna. Units hold positions in the Velykyi Lis tract in this area.
Sloviansk Sector
In the Krasnyi Liman area of the Slovyansk sector, Russian forces have taken control of most of the Drobyshevo and Yarova territories. Combat operations continue north of Sviatohirsk. There are also active clashes in Oleksandrivka, where Ukrainian troops have been pushed back significantly.
To the northeast, on the approaches to Krasnyi Liman, the closure of the “pocket” is underway, with the control zone expanding by more than one kilometer. Krasnyi Liman is semi-encircled. Units control the city from the north, northeast, and east, ending in the southwest Dibrova area. The total length of this enveloping arc is approximately eight kilometers.
The southeastern outskirts of the city are under pressure from the Masliakivka settlement. Within the city limits, clashes are ongoing around the bus station, the fire station, and in the streets of the Kommunalnyi microdistrict.
A powerful fortified node has been established in the buildings of the central district hospital and multi-story buildings on Pushkina Street in the eastern part of the city. This node is regularly targeted with tube and rocket artillery, as well as aviation munitions.
Movement west is developing from Dibrova. Groups of Ukrainian fighters are being driven out of fortifications in the adjacent forests; the advance is proceeding towards the villages of Staryi Karavan, Brusivka, and the Brusyn railway platform.
Information indicates that individual Russian assault groups are advancing northwest, bypassing Krasnyi Liman, towards Shchurovo. The goal of this maneuver is to cut off the last supply routes. There are constant attempts to transfer reserves to defend the city because establishing control over Krasnyi Liman opens a direct path to Sloviansk. Developing movement in this direction and further towards Holube Ozero also blocks potential withdrawal routes from the city.
Conclusion
In the Sloviansk sector, the key event is the operation to semi-encircle Krasnyi Liman. Efforts are concentrated on tightening the ring, assaulting urban blocks, and cutting logistical routes, which creates a direct threat to Sloviansk. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the main struggle has unfolded near Zaporizhzhia. Every village and town has been turned into a fortified node, and the offensive is progressing slowly due to the stubborn defense of settlements such as Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and Novoyakovlivka. In the Kupiansk sector, the most notable success is a deep tactical breakthrough near Dvurechna. If developed, this could lead to the operational isolation of the Kupiansk grouping from the west. In the Sumy sector, a steady but methodical advance into the region is underway, supported by powerful firepower against the rear of the Ukrainian army, which is exhausting its reserves. In the Kharkiv sector, despite difficult forested terrain and the constant replenishment of Ukrainian ranks, units are gradually expanding their control zone around key locations such as Volchanskiy Khutora and Symynivka. They are systematically destroying command posts and resistance nodes. Artillery, aviation, and drones play an enormous role in all parts of the front, as does the extreme saturation of the frontline with engineering structures, which turns every tree line and settlement into a fortified area.
The European Union has not abandoned plans to conduct military training for Ukrainian personnel on Ukrainian soil. However, Hungary is against it, as this could lead to a conflict between NATO and Russia, and potentially a Third World War, according to Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Economic Relations Péter Szijjártó. “The EU’s military training mission for Ukrainians wants to move to Ukraine. This obviously aligns with the previous British-French agreement to prepare to send troops there. Bringing EU military training to Ukraine would cross a red line and could easily lead to a direct military confrontation between EU countries and Russia. The vast majority of EU countries are also NATO members,” Szijjártó told Hungarian journalists after a meeting of EU foreign ministers. The broadcast was carried by the M1 TV channel. The minister explained that moving the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Ukrainian territory “could very easily lead to a direct military clash between a NATO member country and Russia, which, as we know, would be a NATO-Russia conflict, and that means World War III.” “Therefore, of course, we reject this proposal. We will not agree to moving the European Union’s military training mission to Ukraine,” he emphasized.
