According to CNN president Jeff Zucker, the network’s daily aggression, aimed at US President Donald Trump, is “boosting” employee morale.

CNN considers its antagonism toward US President Donald Trump a “badge of honor,” and daily aggression of the network, aimed at Trump, is “boosting” employee morale, CNN president Jeff Zucker said.
“They wear those insults as a badge of honor, because it means they are doing their jobs,” the Politico magazine quoted words of Zucker. “I would say that morale is incredibly high … They are not being intimidated, they are not backing down, they know they have my full support and it is a very exciting time, frankly, to be a journalist at CNN.”
The CNN president noted that at first, he was “concerned” about the Trump’s attacks, coming “on a daily basis,” as thought that they might hurt the network. However, at the same time, he added that there had not been any harm done.
“There has been no diminution whatsoever,” Zucker said. “The CNN brand is as strong as it has ever been. Incredibly trusted. And we have seen no impact whatsoever in all those attacks on the CNN brand.”
“The demand for CNN is incredibly high,” the CNN chief added. “These are very good times for us, and the money is following,” he said, pointing out that this year, the network is looking to make one billion in profits.
On Thursday, during a press conference, Trump continued to slam CNN, joking that he has downgraded CNN from merely “fake news” to “very fake news.” The president also mentioned ratings of the network.
Only five months ago, ratings of CNN were so bad that the network was at the third place. Just this week, Medialife Magazine reported that Fox News took all the top spots in the most viewed cable news programs, adding that Fox and MSNBC came in the first and second places respectively, while CNN showed itself in at the third place.
When they lose their jobs, we’ll see how much their morale will be boosted. Venezuela already ousted them, I hope more countries follow suit.
