CNN Reported The World Almost Ended In Nuclear War, But It Really Didn't

Russia and the United States “accidentally started a nuclear war” in the week ending on December 13th, according to CNN’s Barbara Starr, citing unnamed US defense officials.

A Russian military exercise allegedly triggered an “unusual warning” at the US’ Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

This resulted in several minutes of uncertainty and alarm until an all-clear was sounded, according to the anonymous sources.

“The initial assessment is that the missile warning may have been triggered when US intelligence satellites detected a launch. Highly classified US military satellites that track the infrared trail of ballistic missiles determined that a submerged Russian submarine had test fired four intercontinental missiles from its underwater location in the Sea of Okhotsk off eastern Russia,” on December 11th.

A statement was released regarding the matter. U.S. Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa said that “the control center followed proper procedures … to provide rapid and accurate notifications to all required personnel,” both when the initial alert was received and “within minutes” after the missile launch was determined to be part of a training exercise.

The US military “received an alert via a warning notification system of a real-world missile launch. The control center followed proper procedures and acted in a timely manner to provide rapid and accurate notifications to all required personnel,” according to the statement.

“No US aircraft or pilots were scrambled. The missile launch was determined to be part of a regional training exercise and within minutes the control center again followed proper procedures and provided updated notifications. We consistently and routinely monitor for any threats to our forces and our allies,” the statement from US Air Force Europe-Army Africa read.

It should also be reminded that Russia and the US give each other an advance notice of any ballistic missile test, and they do so at least 24 hours in advance.

The procedure for doing so is specifically set out in an international treaty named the memorandum of understanding.

During the exercises over the weekend, Russia reportedly followed this process and warned the US well in advance of the missile launches from submarines in the Sea of Okhotsk, off Russia’s Pacific Coast.

And the situation itself, is as follows:

The Vladimir Monomakh Project 955 submarine test-fired ballistic missiles in the Sea of Okhotsk.

The launch was detected both by US satellites and at least two radars on the ground (one at Clear Air Force Station in Alaska and the other on Shemiya Island).

The US early warning system does not simply detect the launch – based on initial data, it also calculates the missile’s trajectory, its flight time and approximate target location. As such the automated system also likely figured out that no US targets were anywhere near, or targeted at all.

This is an automated system, no human operator to make a mistake and consider that the end of days had begun.

The protocols are rigid, the data is immediately transferred to the HQ in the continental United States for processing. If there is a nuclear strike, the US early warning system (same as Russia’s) is designed to notify top military and political officials.

It is dubious to even consider that any such warning was sounded off.

Furthermore, only the US president, secretary of defense and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is notified about such missile launches.

Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that on December 11th, the Vladimir Monomakh Project 955 submarine had successfully test-fired a salvo of four Bulava ballistic missiles from an underwater position in the Sea of Okhotsk to the Chizha test range in the Arkhangelsk Region.

According to the ministry, all re-entry vehicles reached the target traveling more than 5,500 kilometers from the firing location. K-551 Vladimir Monomakh is a Russian ballistic missile submarine of the fourth generation, which carries 16 P-30 Bulava missiles.

So, despite CNN’s reports based on anonymous sources, the end of days is postponed for a while.

The world would have ended for CNN if Biden hadn’t looted the U.S. presidential election via counting machine fraud.

Maybe not considering that Trump was a lawyered sissy, he wanted to be a dictator, but did not have the make up for it. Lawyers cannot give you supreme power, support of the armed forces do, he belittled fallen soldiers and generals in his staff to the point of alienating them.

Dick Von Dast'Ard

Well we shall see who values the lives of servicemen more over the next four years by way of foreign policy and deployment.

For CNN, the real world ended at least since JFK’s murder.

Wish there was a link to a video of the CNN report. For some reason I’m in the mood to see how the greatly overrated Starr would hyperventilate over this. I’d like to see how many facts she gets wrong.

Russia use to launch test missile from Kara sea ( west) to Kamtchaka ( east)…in this case have launched not 1 but 4…missile and from Okhotsk sea (west) to east….5500km….therefore it would have been similar case if Russia launch nuclear missile to attack Alaska ( 5564km)…

Icarus Tanović

Can you please clarify east/west positions that you have in mind. Thanks.

Rhodium 10

It is very easy to understand….Russia has tested how would an attack vs Alaska be like…it would be from Okhostsk sea to Anchorage…5000km…in this case the launch have been 5500km and obviusly to hit a target in west part of Russia….but it is an exception because Russia always test its missile included ground ICBM..from Barents/Kara sea to kamtchaka peninsula(East)…and from Plesetsk to Kamtchaka ( ICBM)….

Icarus Tanović

Okay, big thanks man. Really didn’t know that such large distance is between those two. So they’ve been firing basically to mainland.

Rhodium 10

they have tested the same distance ( 5500km) and from the same launch point…the difference obviusly is tha missile took the west direction instead of east direction ( Alaska)…now they analize time of flight and accuracy Cep…

Icarus Tanović

Okay, thanks. One more thing what is Cep? What I mean it is very impressive this shoot of underwater launches of ICBMs. Cheers.

Rhodium 10

CEP is a measure precision in meters…for example a missile which has 5mts CEP means that just has 5 mts deviation on the target…usually ICBM have a long CEP…about 500mts…but nothing changes because the targets would be destroyed by a Nuclear explosion…

Icarus Tanović

Seem that you are well informed considering that matter. Maybe, with todays gos navigation that CEP is very low for ICBMs and other missiles, such are cruise ones etc. Perhaps you know Tochka old ones have been so acurate and even without that. What do you say? Cheers.

Rhodium 10

Cruise missile like kalibr and Tomahawk have a good CEP due its Glonass/GPS guidance…also ICBM have improved the CEP…Tochka is guided by INS ( inertial navegation system)….you launch the missile with a a parameters and coordinates and the Gyroscope keep that Parameters while the missile is in flight and correct deviations( similar case with airplanes)..this is the basic guidance and you can add GPS, Tercom/DM( for cruise missile) and Electro-optics ( for ballistic missile)…both use a digital map of the target and point of impact…near the target the System is activate, overlaying the real-time image of the target with the digital map stored making corrections..this is a basic explanation.

Icarus Tanović

WOOOW! Such an explanation! Big thanks. And what do you think about ZIS cannon made in USSR WWII that is still in use in combats with high accuracy, even modern tanks are in danger. Thanks anyways. Cheers.

Rhodium 10

It was good and accuracy..useful vs Panzer…but useless vs Tiger which had better armor….anyway was a good weapon even Germans tried to copy it..

Icarus Tanović

You see if it is heat round, in say Russia, and eastern countries known as cumulative charge of granad, subcaliber one, or C-4 charged ones it can be pretty damaging, even for today’s standards. In the case of C-4, it just sticks to tank’s hull (or fortifications wall) and detonation, shockwave is what causes the damage. It doesn’t really needs to destroys tanks hull, as I said it is shockwave that does the damage inside the tank. That is what I know from theory and artillery guys who operated that cannon. Anyways what do you think about Iskanders, imho those are the best in class, super hi-tech. Thanks a bunch! Cheers man.

Rhodium 10

If Azerbajan losses is about 3000 sodiers killed…it is above all as consecuence of the use of 3 weapons…Smerch, Tochka and…Iskander!

Icarus Tanović

You mean Smerch, the mrl long range flamethrower with thermobaric charges? That showed its fersome face in Syria, against headchoppers Wahhabis. If you have some ling, please share it, like on yt. Thanks.

Rhodium 10

Armenia forces used the new 9M542 rocket of the Smerch which have guide by Glonass and 120km range…that was the system that caused most of the 3000 AZ soldiers killed…thats why AZ use massive drones to hunt these batteries!

Icarus Tanović

If it wasn’t on Pashinyan, Armenia would win that War for sure. But, he is a traitor of his own people, working hand in hand with Erdogan the Wahhabi headchopper. Both of the are CIA guys and you know the rest.

Icarus Tanović

Look at this! Just like mbrl but with balistic missiles and launched from under sea! One after the other! This is grandiose.
