On August 2, the Houthis’ media wing shared videos of recent attacks by the Yemen group on the Saudi military and its proxies.
The first three videos show Houthi fighters destroying six armored personnel carriers and armed pickup trucks of Saudi forces in the northern Yemeni province of al-Jawf and the Kingdom’s southern province of Najran with anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs).
Houthi fighters used Konkurs ATGMs, which were either directly supplied by Iran or captured from Saudi-backed forces in recent battles.
The remaining two videos show the Houthis shelling Saudi troops, positions and an ammo depot in Najran with B-10 82 mm recoilless rifles.
The Houthis stepped up their operations on the border line with Saudi Arabia in the last few months in response to the Saudi-led coalition intense aerial attacks on Yemen.
The Saudi-led coalition and its Yemeni allies have been attempting to secure the border with Yemen since the outbreak of the war in 2015. Nevertheless, the Houthis are still dominating the border thanks to their better understanding of the rough terrain and superior tactics.
