The Houthis have resumed their advance in the central Yemeni province of Dali’ and captured several positions from the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies in the al-Salib triangle.
A 13-min video released by the Yemeni rebel group’s media wing on May 18 shows Houthi fighters destroying a military bulldozer of the coalition with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), then targeting Saudi-backed forces’ positions in al-Salib with heavy machine guns.

“We defeated the enemy, God granted us the al-Salib triangle in Dali’ … These are our trophies,” a field commander of the Houthis says in the video while pointing at a pile of light weapons, which had been left behind by Saudi-backed fighters.
The Houthis captured at least two fighters of the Saudi-led coalition while advancing in the al-Salib triangle.
Last month, the Houthis imposed control of dozens of positions in Dali’ in a series of successful military operations. The remaining Saudi-backed forces in the province appear to be unwilling to fight, likely due to the lack of proper support from the coalition.
