The Houthis stormed more positions of the Saudi-led coalition and its proxies in a new attack near the Qays mount in the Kingdom’s southern province of Jizan.
On June 24, the media wing of the Yemeni group released a short video showing the attack. In the video, Houthi fighters can be seen targeting Saudi-backed fighters with heavy machine guns and sniper rifles as they flee the battlefield.
The last two month witnessed dozens of Houthi attacks on the Saudi-led coalition’s positions in the Qays mount. The Yemeni resistance killed dozens of fighters loyal to the Saudi-backed President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. The Saudi-led coalition also lost many armored vehicles of several types.
These repeated attacks prove that the Houthis have the upper hand in the border region between Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Even after four years, the Saudi-led coalition has failed to secure the region.
