Containers with chlorine from Germany and smoke grenades produced in the UK town of Salisbury have been found in the Damascus subrub of East Ghouta, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, told media during a press conference on April 19.
“In the liberated areas of Eastern Ghouta, Syrian government troops have found containers with chlorine – the most horrible kind of chemical weapons – from Germany, and also smoke grenades produced – please pay attention [to this] – in the city of Salisbury, the UK,” Zakharova said.
“It is difficult to even comment on this fact in any way, as it is so frightening and undermining the belief in the humanity of certain countries.”
SF recalls that prior to the April 7 incident in Douma, Russian and Syrian leadership had repeatedly warned of possible provocations with the use of chemical weapons by militants. However, all these warnings were ignored by the US-led bloc.
Meanwhile, the chemical attack story is still developing creating more and more questions about the plausibility of the US-backed version of the events.
The town of Douma is the location of the alleged chemical attack on April 7. Presenting no evidence, the US and its allies accused the Syrian government of being behind the attack and then conducted a massive missile strike on Syria using these claims as a pretext.
Zakharova added that the real aim of the April 14 missile strike had been an attempt to give a break to militants in Syria.
“We’ve found confirmations that the real aim of ‘the three’ was to give terrorists a break, restore their strength, prolong the bloodshed on the Syrian soil, thus impeding the process of the political settlement,” the spokeswoman noted.
It looks Germans cannot get out of the habit of gassing people. I only hope that if WW3 erupts we won’t be on the same side as Germany.

Here’s something you dumb-dumbs won’t know. After the first Gulf War, the Americans would strike Iraq on a regular basis. Their main targets were the major industrialised resources of Saddam- NOTHING to do with the military. Machine tool factories were leveled as soon as they were identified. These are the means by which a nation manufactures and maintains the equipment in its factories. Saddam was allowed to IMPORT equipment from the usual suspects- especially GERMANY- but was not to be allowed an independent ability to make or maintain machines.
While dribblers do MI6’s work for them by sticking to the ‘narrative’ (see above), the real deal is setting in motion plans to ensure Syria never rebuilds its industrial base.

So what is the difference between the chlorine gas from Germany and the chlorine gas allegedly used in Syria? The former seems very healthy when used in Germany, and deadly when used in Syria. Can anyone make sense of that?
Chlorine gas is not in the list of chemical weapons , as VX f.e. , because it is used for any chemical production. It can be used for swimming pools or as a chemical weapon, as in WW1. Furthermore the cylinders are produced before 1990, as the postal code on the label shows. My conclusion is that the “rebels” took them from some industrial plant.

Sorry, Maria, but that’s just dumb. The strike doesn’t make sense at face value, but really didn’t benefit the militants. It was no morale booster – they already know that their US and Saudi handlers have abandon them. It might have disrupted SyAAF and RuAF airstrikes for a couple of days, but that’s about it.
I’m not so sure the attack was as much of a failure as people are describing. The targets were more likely related to Syrian and Iranian missile programs (CW was the cover story). Israel is frantic to stop the ‘IRCG Air Force’ from bringing any kind of precision missile capability to Syria. What it fears most is that Israeli attacks on Syrian military targets will be met with retaliatory precision missile strikes on Israeli military targets.
Israel’s entire victimhood propaganda campaign for foreign sympathy would fall apart if they couldn’t claim indiscriminate bombing of their civilians. Syria retaliating to an Israeli strike by taking out the Israeli airfield that launched the aircraft? Well, that just doesn’t seem particularly evil. In fact, it seems perfectly justified (in war, anyway). Israel needs to be able to howl about terrified citizens, air raid sirens, gas masks and rockets flying in from every direction. How would they get much sympathy for a precision strike by Syria on an Israeli military target? How can they claim Syria is using CW on them (that’s obviously the Israeli plan) when there’s just a single, massive impact crater?
Israel needs unimpeded access to Syrian airspace to bomb anything that they think is related to Iranian precision ballistic missiles. They failed to take out Syrian air defenses so far, so they demanded that their chore boys at CENTCOM do something. A Tomahawk strike on air defense sites would have been too obvious in intent as directly benefiting Israel. Either that happened anyway (and neither side is talking) or the US rolled out the EMP version of the JASSM-ERs and fried a lot of Syria’s air defense equipment. No visible damage, but the radars, missiles and comm gear might be junk. This would make the entire strike (including the three ‘apparent’ targets) make sense. If the US used EMP cruise missiles, that would have been the intent. I wonder if we did and if they worked at all? Almost two million each – pretty damn expensive either way.
Will explain this in simpler terms and less clutter of words as they were trying to delay ongoing operations with a high probability of success, which has already been seen in Qalamoun region. Then we saw a build up of ISIS forces and FSA in regions around the same time which in no way were they prepared to deal with the SAA at the time and as time has proven with minute delaying effect.

ALL the SAA and allies operations have a high probability of success now. I would argue that the Tigers and SyAF/RuAF needed a break and benefitted from it more than the head-choppers.
And I beg to differ about my EMP cruise missile suggestion being Israeli and US intelligence bunk. Neither of them has said ANYTHING about or planted any stories related to CHAMP weapons. In fact, I was struck by the near absence of any such speculation. At best, you have a few mil and aviation sites talking about the first combat use of the REGULAR HE JASSM-ER from a B1-B.
Now you have USAFCENT walking back initial US claims of the -ER version being used, now saying it was just the old JASSM-A. I suppose that’s possible, but one of the reasons the stealth-enhanced -ER version was developed was to allow release outside the range of the S-400, penetrate without detection and destroy it. The US had no idea if Russia would blow away the two B1-Bs or not if they came within S-400 range. Sounds like USAFCENT (and Israeli/US intelligence) would rather people not talk about the -ER or the CHAMP version at all. Especially when the US covertly transfers them to Israel to be used on their F-15 and F-16 against Syria.
I speculated they used the high-powered microwave pulse version of the JASSM-ER because the expensive missile is meant for high-value targets. Syria/Russian air defenses ARE high-value targets and Israel hasn’t destroyed many of them with kinetic strikes. Speculating that the US used EMP cruise missiles against Syrian/Russian air defenses is not the same thing as speculating that they were successful. Something is obviously screwed up with some Syrian air defenses. I don’t expect either Syria or Russia to advertise that fact.
Well it had delayed the easy capture of Dumayr and containing half the Qalamoun pocket as they are proceeding to take the rest. They wouldn’t have had Terrorists forces gathering to combat in different regions always the big picture is important. They would have been able to launch a surprise attack once the SouthFront mercenaries attacked, clearing Daraa of terrorists.
The Russians had turned it off the S-400 system and the Radar system but after the US and allies had so many failure to launches they turned it back on.
