Daraa to Join to Ceasefire Plan in Syria – Reports

A peace agreement has been signed between militants, stationed in al-Sanamayn in northern Daraa, and the Syrian government, news sources, affiliated to Syrian militant groups, reported.

“It was agreed that the Syrian Army enters the districts, controlled by militant groups, and those militants, who do not desire to accept the reconciliation, will go to Daraa with their light weapons. This is while militants, who accept the peace agreement, can request amnesty by delivering their weapons,” the Fars news agency quoted the words of a local source in the city on Thursday.

Al-Sanamayn is one of the biggest cities, located in the northern parts of Daraa, where important military positions of Syrian troops are situated.

The fact that terrorists in al-Sanamayn have joined to the reconciliation plan still has not been confirmed by the Syrian government.

Earlier on Thursday, 10 suicide drones, sent by the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (previously known as the Al-Nusra Front) terrorist group from the town of al-Nae’ima to the residential areas of Daraa, were blown up by the Syrian Armed Forces. The bomb-laden unmanned aerial vehicles were smashed in the sky of southern Syria before completing their mission.

A terrorist center, located in the western parts of Um al-Mayazan near Daraa and used by militants as a depot for their military vehicles, was also destroyed by Syrian troops.

Syrian soldiers also clashed with militants in the northern part of the al-Qariah al-Qarbiah bridge, located in eastern Daraa. As a result, a large number of terrorists were killed and wounded.

At the same time, a terrorist base in the region of al-Balad in Daraa was targeted by the Syrian Army. During the attack, militants suffered heavy losses.
