New satellite imagery showing the Russian Engels airbase was shared online. It reportedly shows the message of the Russian military to the NATO satellite reconnaissance.
The satellite imagery shows the phrase “Death to the Nazis.”
It also confirms that the Russian military learned the lesson after the recent strikes of Ukrainian UAVs at its military airfields and the aircraft were placed at a distance from each other in different parts of the airfield, which makes them harder to be hit.

On the morning of 5 December, the Kiev regime launched modernized Soviet-made Strizh UAVs at the Russian military airfields of Dyagilevo in the Ryazan region and Engels in the Saratov region in an effort to disable Russian long-range aircraft. Russian air defence forces intercepted the Ukrainian UAVs at a low altitude. As a result of the attack, the hull armour of the two aircraft were damaged and three Russian maintenance personnel suffered fatal injuries. LINK
The Ukrainian attack did not reach its goal but it revealed that Kiev’s forces have all the means to attack targets on the Russian territory, 1000 km from the border.
However, this is not an achievement of the Ukrainian military, but the result of military support provided by their patrons from NATO.
The Times recently reported citing unnamed US defense officials that Washington gave the green light to the Ukrainian attacks on the Russian territory and no longer fears such operations could lead to a “dramatic” Russian escalation.
The US doesn’t want to publicly admit the change in its war tactics against Russia. In public comments, US officials continue to claim that they are not “encouraging” or “enabling” Ukrainian strikes inside Russian territory. But a US defense official confirmed to The Times that it’s up to Ukraine where they attack and that they have limited restrictions on using US-provided weapons.
“We’re not saying to Kyiv, ‘Don’t strike the Russians [in Russia or Crimea].’ We can’t tell them what to do. It’s up to them how they use their weapons,” the official said. “But when they use the weapons we have supplied, the only thing we insist on is that the Ukrainian military conform to the international laws of war and to the Geneva conventions.”
The official’s comments appear to mark a shift in US policy as the Biden administration previously sought “assurances” from Ukraine that it wouldn’t use the HIMARS rocket launch systems to hit Russian territory.
When targeting Russian airbase, Ukraine used modified Soviet-made drones. However, they were guided by the US GPS.
Modernized Soviet Strizh drones were guided to Russian airfields near Ryazan and Engels by the US GPS — Russian representative to the UN Mr Nebenzia claimed.
The Ukrainian military has no means to pose a real threat to the Russian security. The Kiev regime can only fight Russia with the foreign weapons and under NATO command, paying with lives of Ukrainian soldiers.

What Ukrainians do on their own territory is their thing. Same as when Iran kills kurdish separatists on iranian territory. So Ukraine shelling civilians on ukrainian territory still is not ok, and yes a crime, but not enough to attack that country. Doing so is clearly starting a war of aggression. And yes, it is highly hypocrite that USA demands Russia to comply with “international law and Geneva convention” as USA themselves never care about these.
