Pro-government sources claimed that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Tribal Forces captured the villages of Muqla Saghira, Al-Rabyeh, Joubilly, Salim al-Hammad, Abu Hammad and Ghanim al-Ali on the West Bank of the Euphrates River in the southeastern Raqqa countryside.

Furthermore, the SAA reportedly advanced on Wadi Al Tarab, Tal Al-Tarab, Al-Rujum, Wadi Al Kharayj and Wadi Hamamiya and captured these villages in the northwestern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

On Saturday, ISIS claimed that its fighters managed to repel a SAA attack on Ghanim al-Ali village, where ISIS allegedly targeted a gathering of the SAA soldiers near Ghanim al-Ali with a VBIED. ISIS also claimed that its fighters destroyed 3 SAA armed vehicles with ATGMs.

Pro-government sources confirmed that SAA faced fierce resistance from ISIS fighters in Ghanim Al-Ali village before it liberated the village on Sunday.

In Deir Ezzor, ISIS fighters attacked SAA positions in Al-Makbara area. ISIS used battle tanks in the attack, but the SAA managed to repel the attack.

The Hezbollah media wing in Syria also announced that the SAA had succeeded in digging a 280 meters long trench in the cemetery area in Deir Ezzor. The trench cuts ISIS supply routes between Al-Thardah mountain and its positions in the cemetery area and inside the city.

According to the recent reports, the SAA is currently over 45 km away from Deir Ezzor city. It’s believed that the SAA will face stronger resistance from ISIS fighters after capturing Sukhna town in the eastern Homs countryside and exterminating ISIS in the eastern Hama countryside. ISIS allegedly transported dozens of fighters from Hama and Homs to Deir Ezzor to defend its positions in the oil-rich province.

It’s probably your government punishment for attacking Libya. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/1e9e108827896b6139858a0887b90aa5cbd221bf1ceadb864edb8f52c4f95cd1.png

Serious

Because the “refugees” are sent by globalists as useful idiots to be sure that these countries stay puppet states forever and ever and ever.

Germinator

100% correct!

Xanatos

Saudis attacked libya by sending mercenary forces there. Saudis also spread false rumors syria were in libya, they never went there.

Gabriel Hollows

Mercenary forces? Try Al-Qaeda terorrists.

Jan Tjarks

IRA, ETA or RAF, these were terrorists, fighting on their own soil with their limited support from locals who shared the same idea.

Daesh/IS, Al Qaeda and the numerous different groups are nothing else than mercenaries, they are not from the same country, but foreigners instead, they are not living together with the people who support them, but they are slaughtering them. They do not organize weapons by themselves and their little resources, they get paid and delivered from others outside who are having their own interests in Syria, Libya or elsewhere.

As such, Xanatos is correct, we are talking about paid mercenaries, who fight for those who pay best. Below that, there are those who are made to believe in this nonsense and blow themselves up for it.

Indeed, one can guess that Al-Qaeda and Daesh had been promised to keep their own share in the “balkanisation” of Syria, like former Yugoslavia had to face it. Week states or failed states, like in Libya.

However, due to the Russian intervention this is no more. Even Sultan Iznogoud from Turkey has to change his plans.

Serious

So, “daesh fighters” kill themselfs in suicide operations to kill SAA soldiers. What sick people they are.

dutchnational

Haven’t seen you make this comment when they do and did the same in Raqqah and Mosul. On more neutral sites one reads about 40+ SAA killed the last two days in atacks by IS.

PZIVJ

It was never expected that the river would be cleared towards Deir Ezzor without loss. ISUS will put up a fight for Maadan also, right now SAA is bypassing it into DZ province from the south. Will SDF help out by cutting the river line road near the pontoon bridge?

dutchnational

It is not for me to say what SDF will do there. Earlier I have mentioned that passing that bridge would be a good idea. I do not know if they have the reserves to not only take the bridge, but to also retain it and build a solid position on the south bank there.

Graeme Rymill

I thought all bridges across the Euphrates in Syria has been destroyed. Is this not the case?

Kell

Yep the Euphrates is their main base of ops, hard fight but after that minimal to go, cutting the artery early will end the fight early which is good for everyone.

Attrition47

More neutral? Which ones?

dutchnational

Syrian civil war map is one of them.

heydad

Ill give credit to liveumap as being more neutral than SF but they can tend towards the other side and give makes huge changes for ISIS or FSA without confirmed information while taking days to update government advances. Still a great tool for getting a clearer picture than any major news outlet (western and eastern).

Kell

Most people I know call it Jihadi map – SAA gains take weeks to be put up sometimes and Terroorist gains/claims go up as they happen in live time,. definately bias applied toward Terr’s and against SAA.,

Tudor Miron

Those are another kind of white helmets. Irregular wing of MSM, just like ISIS/Queda/Moderate headchoppers/heart eating democratic rebels are irregular armed forces of nato.

dutchnational

Well, my impression is they are more or less neutral, reporting mostly about SDF and SAA. They are often a bit late, which I put on trying to report more correctly, seeking confirmations elsewhere and not just on some wild tweets. Never got the idea they were jihadi oriented, but who am I?

Justin Ryan

ALWAYS ONLY COMMENTS ON BEHALF OF SDF AND YPG! FUCK OFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!

PZIVJ

He was also referring to the Iraqi forces killed in Mosul by ISUS suicide bombers. I tend to like a good discussion, as opposed to your personal vendetta against him and your foul mouth. And how do you make this site look better by your trash talk ? TIGER SPAM ! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2d710672b7557a9673c3aaeaf356dd439480e47eb5d0a2fb8ce56d9e0f2c457d.jpg

dutchnational

Thanks for sticking up here.

I do not really care about a foul mouth as I think namecalling is more a reflection on the weight and sanity of his arguments, then on the content of my comments, to which one can agree or disagree.

I try to stick to the facts as I know them though I have my preferences as to how I would like to see Syria develop. Those do not seem to be in sync with those of dear Justin.

Tudor Miron

“I try to stick to the facts as I know them”(c) In fact you try to stick to constant BS :) Let’s see your latest example above: ” 40+ SAA killed the last two days in atacks by IS.”(c) and one may call it facts, after all SAA confirms losses and fierce resistance from ISIS before what happened? Yes my friend, SAA liberated Ghanim Al-Ali village :) Reading your BS it sounds like ISIS is on attack when the facts on the ground (war map/red color on new territory of Syria) shows that ISIS is just a cornered rat – yes it is dangerous and will try to bite but it will be squashed anyway. Those of your breed infested those human beings (ISIS fighters) with poisonious ideas in order to erradicate Koranic Islam as one of more dangerous religions for gp. What is present now (wahhabism, takfiri, salafism etc.) are “export versions” of talmidic jeudaism – for goyem use. Another instrument of enslaving human kind. When will jew realise that they are also on the loosing end? Siding with evil costs them dearly but yet they keep thinking that this time Jahve would not set them up…again and again and again. Bloodthirsty Jahve doesn’t give a hoot :) in crowd/elite society there’s always need for waisting the elites from time to time. That’s not a real need of humans, thats a need of gp – fear anger and grief (emotions – energy in motion) have to be produced constantly at ever increasing rates.

dutchnational

IS was indeed on several counterattacks, even southfront reported them.

They are lying? They just haven’t reported the lossess of SAA, wich were estimated over 50 by local observers.

Tudor Miron

Dutchnational is known pro Israel/US/EU, anti Russia/anti Syria and anti all that try to defend against ongoing globalisation of gp power on this planet. He constantly spreads BS, twists the facts while disquising as neutral :) This Zio-troll openly admits that he takes readers/posters of SF for “dumbs” – https://southfront.org/us-backed-sdf-struggles-in-raqqah-as-government-forces-advance-along-euphrates/ look in the comments in that article. Just another type of zio troll, we have plenty here. Just not as funny/entertaining as Solomosha.

Syrian sivil war maps is not neutral or credible which can be seen from its name which ignores the fact that while there are elements of civil war in Syria it is by far not all about whats happening there. Which is just another regime change by globalist gang :)

Gabriel Hollows

It would have been an honorable tactic if they fought for a just cause instead of “kill infidels to get free sex slaves in heaven”.

Serious

They kill infidels or fidels, they don’t care. They have killed scores of muslims. The fact is that nobody knows what they are fighting for.

Neo Anderson

Israel but the money they receive helps them switch their brain off

PZIVJ

Tigers and Tribal forces have made great progress along the river. But sad to say at some cost. Not all victories come cheap. Godspeed SAA and wipe out the ISUS trash in retribution for your loses. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/19f4390a50829580ce711be745f03d64860ee8a12906690568bec58c89ef5513.jpg

Daniel

They “just” need to hold out 1-2 more months in Deir Ezzor.

CyricRenner

Being aware that your allies are getting closer every single day, has to boost morale. I wonder how much Deir Ezzor can be reinforced by Air ? Enough so they could start breaking out operations ? This would certainly expedite the lifting of the siege, forcing ISIS to fight on two fronts.

Justin Ryan

YEP…. DutchNational IS AT IT AGAIN…….. Only making comments relating to the SDF when this NewsBlog has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SDF!

DUTCHNATIONAL, IF U LOVE THE SDF SO MUCH….. GO OVER THERE AND HAVE SEX WITH THEM!

https://media.giphy.com/media/13ulG2In4VS3EA/giphy.gif

PZIVJ

U R 1 SICK SON OF A BITCH FOR SURE !!

dutchnational

I wonder about the moderators here. Are they absent?

dutchnational

During the last year I have been reading here about one successfull counterattack after another. Stangely, the lines seem te remain the same or even get worse. The cause for the discrepancy between the two is not wholly clear to me.

However, thanks to the SAA being able to advance in the shadow of the SDF, the SAA is nearing DeZ.

One can at least hope this will bring relief to the civilians there.
