Deir Ezzor Refugees Protest Against SDF In Al-Sad Camp (Video)

Support SouthFront

On October 22, thousands of Arab refugees from Deir Ezzor governorate protested against the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) inside the al-Sad refugee camp in the southern al-Hasakah countryside, according to opposition sources.

The refuges reportedly protested because they were forced to stay inside the camps by the SDF. The sources described the refugee camps in SDF-held areas as “big jails”.

Meanwhile, local sources from the camp reported that even ill refugees are not allowed to leave the camps to receive the medical treatment they need. The refuges also protested against the “inhuman treatment”, and the lack of food water and medical supplies, according to opposition activists.

The protest ended after SDF fighters opened fire in the air from their machineguns, according to local sources. However, no casualties related to the shooting were reported.

Local sources believe that hundreds of thousands of Arab refugees from Aleppo, Raqqa, Homs and Deir Ezzor are being held inside the SDF refugee camps. The SDF mainly relies on humanitarian aid from non-governmental organizations to support the camps. However, the aid is not enough to support the high number of the refugees.

The SDF is likely banning the refugees from leaving the camps for security reasons, as many of them are relatives of ISIS fighters. However, this SDF policy contrinutes to growing the tensions between Arabs and Kurds in the SDF-held areas which are already at the dangerous level.

evil sdf is showing its colours after being mentored by zio satanists

US mail postal service

Evil would be shooting them down for protesting but they ain’t.

Refugees are detained until they are vetted.

This is the same in Iraq.

Infiltration by IS sleepers, criminals is to be prevented.

Vetting takes time as there are many refugees, both from Iraq and Syria. After vetting, many can leave for cities like Manbij, Tabqah and soon Raqqah itself.

SDF is poviding much aid while they are being blockaded by all their neighbours.

They should be commended for their efforts.

John

I agree with you dutch, up to the point where you mentioned vetting. Many of the tribes in DE, for instance, are IS. Now the SDF is making deals with them so, vetting being done by them now with others doesn´t hold water with me. It´s a double standard when some are allowed to trot off with their weapons or just plain keep them and stay where they are, while others, actual victims, need to be ´processed ´.

The SDF is going to fold like a bad hand at some juncture. They will be confronted by the same people that are mad them now, only they won´t be as helpless. My take on it. Have a good day man.

dutchnational

Vetting of individuals is important for the security of Northern Syria. SDF does not want bombattacks in their cities. Can you blame them?

As for tribes being pro IS? As far as I understand tribalism in that area, most tribes blow with the wind. Some were against IS, like the Shaitat, Shamar, some were principally pro IS and most were just trying to survive, paying lipservice.

SDF is trying to weed out hardened IS fighters and folllowers. They listen to the tribes when they are weeding them out as the tribes do not want the killers either, even if just to prevent bloodfeuds with other tribes.

All in all, vetting is the wise course.

John

Well put, very logical and I am not buying it. Vetting has a great track record in Syria? In Iraq? Nope. It didn´t stop anything and fostered worse. Something else is going on here Dutch and I am going to be patient to see what is really manifesting with these protests. Last week SDF personel were being whacked by a new group. This week it is protests in the camps. Something nasty is brewing. It is all moving in the same direction; serious dissatifaction with the SDF.

dutchnational

Well, lets be patient together as one cannot convince the other and time will tell all.

Wagner schmit

Some of these tribes made hard choice get annihilated like the other tribes by ISIS or b or join them.

John

It´s true Wagner but, I am waiting to see who is who, by witnessing who cooperates with the Syrian government, not the Kurds. This will shake out. Cheers.

John Brown

Not allowing medical care is detained to you??? The typical genocidal, racist, supremacist, Jewish, master, race, position, when it is for groups target for extermination and or not serving the current interests of racist supremacist Israel.

François

So we finally see SDF are in fact criminals, infriging Human Rights. Yet, any ill person should be allowed to receive appropriate care outside this “Concentration camp”. I personally don’t see great future to the so called “Kurdistan”. Sooner or later this entity will collapse or dramatically shrink under pressure of Turkey, Syria, and Irak. The problem is that will be war, with probably Israeli intervention with all the consequences

TiredOfBsToo

Turkey will be the big player with the terrorist SDF forces. While I question Turkey setting up bases in Syria, it might just be what’s needed to keep terrorists such as SDF, who generally collude with Isis rather than fighting it, in check.

dutchnational

If you really think that, you should support SAA setting up bases, not Turkey setting up bases.

TiredOfBsToo

I support anyone fighting terrorists. I do however want Turkey to go home after they’ve helped take out the garbage.

François

The problem with Turkey is that it has its own dream of “Great Turkey” and covet itself territories in Syria. Currently we see they have already start to establish military presence and military bases in Syria, and they are surely not likely to hand over any territories to SAA, arguing “Security reasons”. Furthermore they are highly suspected to collude with HTS and FSA, that means probable “endless” war in Syria.

TiredOfBsToo

Remember, even after Turkey killed a Russian pilot, Russia saved Erdogan from that US sponsored coup. Russia is pretty firm about Syria’s sovereignty. Considering Russian/Turkey trade and tourism, I think Erdogan will be inclined to overcome his goals of expanding Turkey through Syria; too they live in the same neighborhood.

dutchnational

He was unable to do so the last 6 years.

It is unlikely he will be able to in the future, unless forced of course.

Frank Behrens

so, you would them run around freely? Without any control? Which country are you from? Will tell them to migrate to your country, where you can run around at once (sleep cell paradise) uncontrolled.

François

The issue is not let them run freely or not, but to let ill people receive appropriate care. Oh, by the way, I’m from France. And about SDF, don’t you see they are grabbing Syrian Territory without being willing to hand over any of them to Syria Republic? This only detail shows they are not honest people

US mail postal service

Funny frenchie considering the jungle zoos of refugee camps you have. You don’t allow them out another reason.

Frank Behrens

I see that you are clearly biased. First of, SDF isn`t about Kurds alone…meanwhile there are a lot of arabic speaking moslems and christians as well as turkmen. Second: you (and I ) don`t know if these claims are true (that they are ill treated). Third: better medical treatment? Where should the refugees find them outside the camp? That´s mostly a desert and a war torn area around them and the next place in Deir ez Zor, where they still battle. No that would be foolish…the best place is in the camp and await better help and /or transportation to other places/camps. You don´t care about those peolpe…you cleary care more about land and oil it seems. And them me…why is a french so upset and interested what the SDF does or at Syria at all ??

John Panelli

SDF IS about the Kurds . .

Frank Behrens

It´s Syrian Demoratic Forces (often confused with the political/civil SDC). Here , as often, wikipedia is your fast and easy friend:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_Democratic_Forces

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rojava

So yeah, SDF started out as a mainly kurdish (and strong leftist) force..but over the years more and more arab speaking moslems and christians joined it´s rank as well as Turkmen, Sure it is still at it´s core kurdish but will change more and more.

Jonathan Cohen

“Syria Republic” would violate ABORTION RIGHTS!!! and therefore cannot be allowed to control any territory or populations.

François

Oh, we have a little pro zionist visitor here! What’s the name of your mafia: KHAZARIAN MAFIA? You already killed 2500 000 jews and so many innocent people. Every breath you take you steal our fresh air. Ask you friends in Monsanto, Rotschild, Morgan, and all this bull shit people to stop messing around in our planet. You mafia people

Jonathan Cohen

If Monsanto, Rothschild and Morgan had been ABORTED, they wouldn’t be messing with any planets.

François

So you like abortion, so you don’t like ISIS, good boy

John Panelli

Abortion Rights?? What right does any human have to kill an unborn child? Even Daesh doesn’t abort unborn babies. What right do we have to murder a defenceless, helpless, vulnerable human being, just because the idiot mother decides she doesn’t want it? Abortion is understandable in some extreme situations, but those are precious human lives that are being being torn from its mother’s womb, and often ripped apart in the process . .piece by piece . .

Jonathan Cohen

Daesh violating abortion rights is why (essentially the only reason) I support their extermination by napalm (and yours too).

John Panelli

The only reason.? Surely you would have other reasons for supporting their extermination? Or does their existence support your rogue state in its plans for Syria? If your leaders Begin, Shamir, Sharon, Ben-Gurion and Lord Balfour had been aborted, what a peaceful ME we would have now. .

Jonathan Cohen

If Everyone had been aborted what a peaceful planet we would have now!

US mail postal service

You do know some of these came from SAA regions because they prefer them over SAA.

François

This people are mainly ISIS families….And for Arabs, Kurds are invaders… Go back to your US postal service, instead of playing the troll

Bob

US Postal Service? Is that you, channeling ever more fabrications, Lance Armstrong?

RamboDave

For the last six years of this war, millions of refugees fled rebel areas to SAA or government controlled areas. They voted with their feet. For example, when East Aleppo was invaded by the rebels several years ago, at least 600,000 people fled over to West Aleppo, leaving (what turned out to be) about only 40,000 civilians in East Aleppo, before it was liberated. And most of those were family members of the rebels.

Jonathan Cohen

ABORTION RIGHTS FOR RAQQA AND DIER EZZOR!!!!!!!

Vitex

Fuck off Jonathan

cortisol

Please, don’t let satanist USA kill, ethnically “cleanse” them like they did in Raqqa.

juan carlos ayala

the dogs show their true nature

Cheryl Brandon

Syrian people knows that SAA is their liberating forces and nobody else. You cannot fool Syrians. SDF/ISIS/=terrorists.

Jonathan Cohen

SAA will violate ABORTION RIGHTS! like ISIS, and are therefore NEVER “liberating” anything.

The Farney Fontenoy

This has less to do with ISIS, rather it’s preventing the Arab population from returning to their homes in preparation for Kurdish colonisation of the area. Israel used exactly this tactic since 1948.

goingbrokes

Vetting? This is concentration camp mentality!

Bolter10

It’s a tribal thing they all think the other tribe are annimals, can’t say the US or Israel are much better….

WinstonSmith

Gypsy Kurds are like that. Gypsies living in the West and the Americas are also very tribal like SDF and ISIS; one of the reasons they hate the pluralist Assad government.

WinstonSmith

Everyone knew from the beginning that SDF/ISIS are similar, they share their US terrorism sponsors. In the Syrian war, SDF/ISIS have always been in the “Assad must go” camp with the US/Jews/Saudis/UK/etc. These civilians realise that.

Joao Alfaiate

Kurdish soldiers backed by Uncle Shmuel ruling Sunni Arabs who’d been besieged by ISIL for three years…not a happy combination.
