Anthony Blinken’s visit to Ukraine was carried out in strict secrecy, it was not announced in advance. According to Bloomberg, the diplomat arrived in Kiev by train and spent 11 hours on the trip.

However, according to some reports, one of the purposes of the Secretary of State’s trip to Ukraine is the election race in the United States (elections to the House of Representatives of Congress). The Biden administration, which is already providing large-scale support to Ukraine in the form of arms and finances, plans to use Ukraine also to win the political race inside the country.
