Democrats Introduce Bill To Prohibit U.S. To Conduct Pre-Emptive Nuclear Strike

On January 30th, a pair of top Democrats in the House and Senate introduced a bill that attempts to make US not use nuclear weapons first.

The bill was introduced by Sen. Elizabeth Warren a Senate Armed Services Committee member who is running for president in 2020, and House Armed Services Committee Chairman Adam Smith.

“Our current nuclear strategy is not just outdated—it is dangerous,” Smith and Warren said in a joint statement. “By making clear that deterrence is the sole purpose of our arsenal, this bill would reduce the chances of a nuclear miscalculation and help us maintain our moral and diplomatic leadership in the world.”

The bill is called the “No First Use Act,” and it simply says: “It is the policy of the United States to not use nuclear weapons first.”

The same bill was introduced by Smith in November 2017.

A press release from Smith’s office claimed that the bill would improve US national security. It would do so by reducing any risk of miscalculation, it would also clarify US policy and preserve the ability to conduct a nuclear strike after a nuclear attack on the United States or its allies.

Former President Barack Obama considered changing the policy, but was advised otherwise.

Democrats have attempted to introduce several bills aimed at limiting Trump’s ability to launch a pre-emptive nuclear strike since he assumed office.

On the previous day, another pair of two other Democrats introduced a bill that would limit Trump’s ability to launch a nuclear strike.

Rep. Ted Lieu and Sen. Ed Markey announced they would introduce a bill that would stop the POTUS from being able to launch a first strike nuclear attack without first having congressional approval.

At a press conference announcing the legislation, Lieu said the bill is needed because President Trump is “unpredictable and rash.”

“Trump’s brand is to be unpredictable and rash, which is exactly what you don’t want the person who possesses the nuclear football to be,” Lieu said, according to a press release. “We introduced this bill under the Obama administration but Trump’s presidency has highlighted just how scary it is that any president has the authority to launch a nuke without congressional consultation.”

The statement cited the infamous Trump tweet from January 2018 that taunted North Korea over the size of his nuclear button.

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 3, 2018

Markey added in the statement that no president “should have the power to launch a first use nuclear first strike absent such an attack without explicit Congressional approval.”

Similar legislation was also introduced in 2018, following the tweet, but it did not pass.

Come on, all the trouble they went to breach and castrate ABM and now INF treaties will be greatly rendered useless. These Senators probably will be labeled as “traitors” and people who want to throw the US bounded in front of the Russian Aggression™ and even a Chinese one.

To be fair this policy (pre-emtive nuclear attack) is an insane one, more suitable for the needs of some empires in the world of some thousands years ago. Credit to some US senators that all it took for them to see it was an orange megalomaniac with a Mega-tonne class ego, itchy fingers and numerous threats of annihilating some nations after being 2 years hovering over the “button”.

jako

OK all that but let us be honest orange-gutan is not the only one in all that http://americandigest.org/sidelines/atrumpcruiseissile.jpg

Also preemptive nuke strikes are also ideal method for resolving problem of numerous U.S. military bases

US irrefutable “leadership”, “exceptionalism”, “indispensablity” and keeping Satus Qou of US dominance under any circumstances are the biggest universal triggers for starting WW3 with or without Trump.

Promitheas Apollonious

The reasoning behind doing it, is the fact that US has no longer the capability, to make a preemptive first strike with out US becoming a large black hole, with out the chance of survival. Beside the fat now they know what Russia is able to do to them responding and not only. You know the old saying, throwing ashes in the eyes of your enemy? It is what the jewamericans now attempt to do.

I will not give them credit, this is either political or International manipulation and meaningless.

Oh boy, my sarcasm sucks even more than Tommy Jensen’s!

Actually, the only reason the Dimms want this is because it’s anti-Trump in the US all the time. If it was a Dimm like Clinton, no such bill would be introduced. There’s very few people on that Hill with any sense of morality and even fewer willing to take a stand against the Deep State and it’s promotion of death around the world for the glory of Empire.

MeMad Max

Pointless, will never pass…

The first thing I’ve seen in years from the Democrats that I like.. Even if it is just to undermine trump. If we were smart we would get the Russians to match us and pass a similar bill, then we could work of that to maybe improve on some other issues.

Unfortunately our politicians are far to stupid to do anything of the sort.. But when can still hope I suppose

“The bill is called the “No First Use Act,” and it simply says: “It is the policy of the United States to not use nuclear weapons first.”……the bill is useless and will be ignored by hundreds of the many other laws, ideals etc. War mean war and the World can assure you that the Yankers will continue doing anything they want, when they want.

If they can ignore International law, this internal law is a nonsense, it’ll be something along the likes of “IN good faith, we signed into US law blah blah to keep peace on Earth and now we see Iran, Russia, China ramping up their production of nuclear “death and destruct” missiles.

War, War, War.

Barba_Papa

Internal laws are different from international law, as Americans in general seem to think that their own laws trump international law, regardless of political persuasion. As such such a law would be far harder to ignore then the ABM and INF treaties. Although if the US were to launch such a strike would it matter much? Would Congress try to impeach the president or run for their bunker in the hills as the inevitable Russian counter attack would obliterate Washington?

Kelli Hernandez

They did not get Congressional approval to wage war and regime change on Libya Syria, Ukraine, Honduras or Yemen They don’t give ONE shit about the American people and their INSANITY in worshipping the Jew is why we got 9/11’d in the first place. US has first strike nuke option and despite neocunt failure after failure, they are jusf insane enough to do it’s
