The Russian military organised an exhibition of military equipment left by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Severodonetsk-Lisichansk metropolitan area. According to the Russian Defence Minister, Ukrainian forces lost 196 Ukrainian tanks and armored vehicles, 12 aircraft and one helicopter in the battles. The AFU abandoned 39 units of tanks, 11 guns and mortars, 48 anti-tank missile systems during the retreat from the city.
The exhibits include Ukrainian weapons as well as foreign equipment supplied by the Kiev’s Western allies.

First of all, Ukrainians who voted for Yanukovich were mostly in the eastern and southern parts of the country (see a map with the election results), and since then many of them have moved to another country because of the conflict. Some were translocated inside Ukraine and moved abroad only after Feb ’22.

The mistake that Western leaders keep making again and again and again is in thinking that if you supply Western weapons to another country, usually with a different culture, it will magically make them better. But while getting weapons does help, there are soft factors involved which the usual weapons stats never mention. On paper something can look good, and in the right hands it will. But the hidden soft factors can turn a war winner into something average or even something terrible. And I’ll say it again, Western gear is not made to be handled by low trained low skilled reservists.

The LDPR and DPR will use them as transport vehicles mostly for cow manure and dead bodies. NATO military equipment overall is not as rugged on the battlefield and is too sensitive, requires too much maintenance and that is done by design capitalist style.
