Dozens of Airstrikes Hit Libya’s Capital During Last 48 Hours (Video)

Warplanes supporting the Libyan National Army (LNA) carried out more than 20 airstrikes on forces loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA) in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and its surroundings on May 22 and 23.

Libyan sources said that the airstrikes targeted troops, positions and vehicles of pro-GNA forces in the towns of Khallet Alforjan, Ain Zara, Wadi al-Rabi’a, Wadi al-Haiyra and Tajoura.

The al-Jazeera TV also reported that some airstrikes targeted headquarters of the GNA in Tripoli’s city center, including the main building of the Libyan Parliament.

These airstrikes were likely conducted by the Libyan Air Force (LAF), or by the UAE Air Force (UAEAF), which deployed several warplanes and unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) in western Libya few years ago.

The airstrikes coincided with heavy clashes south of Tripoli, according to the RT TV. However, no advance was made by the LNA.

The upcoming few days will likely witness more airstrikes on GNA forces, which are still holding onto their positions in the Libyan capital, and even attempting to recaptured some key areas south of it.

Take Sirte, put pressure upon Misrata and the Tripoli regime shall soon capitulate.

It’s not just the Tripoli regime forces – both Misrata and Tripoli are now heavily defended and re-inforced with very capable and experienced jihadis flown in by Turkey from northern Syria. Massive defensive earthworks, tunnels, anti-armour weapons etc.. plus full military backing from Qatar and Turkey – Misrata cannot be taken now.

Interesting proxy war, so there is Egypt and the Emirates on a the side of LNA and Qatar and Turkey on the GNA side

Americans just can’t stop killing, whether it’s the US military bombing schools, the CIA paying freaks to kill children, or just your domestic Rambo shooting up a school, they just can’t sate their blood lust.
