More than 150 ISIS fighters surrendered themselves to the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) during the clashes in the middle Euphrates Valley on January 25, according to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA).
“Among those who surrendered there are some of the so called Inghimasiyn, who were trained to carry out suicide attacks,” the ANHA’s reporter said.
The surrender of those fighters is a huge blow to ISIS that’s struggling to defend its last positions in the Euphrates Valley. A day earlier, the terrorist group launched a counter-attack on the hopes of recapturing some areas. However, the attack was repelled within hours.
Now with the remaining ISIS positions on the brink of collapse more and more terrorists are fleeing to the SDF-held areas. According to a recent report of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), More than 2,200 members of the terrorist group have been captured while trying to enter the safe area since last December.
If you were an enemy of the USA, you would shoot yourself rather than being mercilessly tortured by the Americans. So I think the headline should read Dozens Of ISIS Fighters rescued by US-Backed Forces In Euphrates Valley.
