On the night of August 31, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched new wave of devastating strikes in Ukrainian rear regions. New series of explosions were reported near Ukrainian capital, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy regions and in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The Ukrainian military confirmed the drone attack, claiming that the air defense forces destroyed only 24 out of 52 Russian UAVs. At the same time, the rest of the drones allegedly either “crashed” or “flew back to Russia or Belarus.” However, Russian strikes were reported across the country.
A series of explosions reportedly thundered in the city of Kyiv and on its outskirts. The town of Brovary has come under the third Russian attack this week. Another strike was reported in the town of Bila Tserkva. According to local reports, the targets included a fuel depot and Ukrainian military equipment.

A missile strike targeted the town of Pokrovsk, where the headquarters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hidden in a local hotel was reportedly destroyed. Ukrainian manpower and military equipment were destroyed as a result of Russian strikes in Krasny Liman in the Luhansk People’s Republic. More strikes hit the Ukrainian military in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk urban agglomeration.
The wave of Russian strikes began on the evening of August 30. At least four strikes were reported in the area of the Tractor Plant in the city of Kharkiv. The territory of the large industrial facility used by the Ukrainian military for repair of military equipment came under a massive attack. More Russian strikes hit local energy facilities in the city.
