Russian and Syrian warplanes have conducted 91 airstrikes on northern Hama and southern Idlib since the morning of June 29, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The London-based monitoring group said that the airstrikes targeted more than 20 villages and towns in the northern, northwestern Hama countryside, as well as in the southern and southwestern countryside of Idlib.

According to several pro-government activists, the Russian and Syria airstrikes targeted positions, ammo depots and vehicles of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) and its allies.

The Russian Aerospace Forces and the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) intensified their aerial operations over Greater Idlib in the last few days to support the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) ground operations there. However, the army failed to recapture the villages of Jibeen and Tell Meleh in northern Hama.

The continued airstrikes indicate that Damascus and its allies are still determined to go on with their ground operations around Greater Idlib, despite the recent setback.

It looks like part of the problem is that the terrorists are using the Turkish military as human shields. To draw SAA fire onto Turkish positions. And to get the Turks to attack the SAA in return. When they should be attacking the terrorists putting them in harm’s way.

If the Turks are resupplying the terrorists with weapons and ammunition. They need to be told to stop that or risk the resupply convoys being hit.

BMWA1

I think also many military supplies and equipment direct from Turkay…in material terms, SAA is having to do more with less, unfortunately.

RichardD

Why do you say that Syria is having to do more with less?

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), again they are phony group based in London and not on the ground in Syria, why are they even bothered with in reporting anything.

Any air attack to terrorists without and effective and global offensive on Idlib is just wasting of time, money and ammunitions. Russia must stop pleasing Turkey and allow Syria to carry out a global offensive at Idlib.

Johan

The Russians and syrians, in all their overnimbering, are apparently not able to gain any terainon the terrorists.

BMWA1

IDK, the terrorist forces are very dense in this territory and well-equipped, like a regular army….also in Aleppo, SAA had to operate agaiunst sometimes superior forces…no outnumbering.

The SAA and the Russians are concerned about the civilians that the CIA/Turk head-choppers hide behind. They have both taken losses to avoid killing civilians. Unlike the USAF and NATO bombers, Assad will not indiscriminately slaughter the people of Syria.

Assad must stay (gr8rambino)

greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeatttt!!!! the only pause or ceasefire should be when you are refueling and rearming :)))

Willing Conscience (The Truths

It’s starting to look like the offensive to take back north western Syria is finally starting, not very quickly or spectacularly, which is somewhat disappointing, but it is looking like it’s the real deal this time [touch wood]. I haven’t heard Putin say ceasefire reconciliation or Astana for more than 2 weeks now, which is great, I was getting sick of hearing those 3 words he kept repeating.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

That’s good news, but even better news would be hundreds of Russian airstrikes per day, and not just against HTS and Al Nusra, the Turks proxies the FSA/SLF/NFL all need to be bombed into oblivion too.
