On January 25, ISIS attacked several positions of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) south of the town of Gharanij in the southeastern Deir Ezzor countryside, according to the ISIS-linked news agency Amaq. ISIS fighters reportedly killed or injured fifteen fighters of the SDF and captured six others.
Gharanij was supposedly fully secured by the SDF on January 24. However, it appears that ISIS is still holding several positions south of the town.
Amaq also reported that ISIS fighters attacked several positions of the US-backed force around the village of al-Bahrah south of Gharanij. Five members of the SDF were killed when ISIS fighters targeted their position with an ATGM and three others were killed by ISIS snipers, according to Amaq.
ISIS also conducted a hit and run attack against several positions of the SDF northeast of al-village near the Syrian-Iraqi border, according to the ISIS-linked news agency. ISIS fighters killed ten members of the US-backed force, captured four others and destroyed four SDF positions in the attack.
This series of attacks proves that the remaining ISIS fighters in the southern part of the Euphrates Valley are still a major security threat as they are well-armed and determined to attack their enemies.

Well, in Syria I guess I only cheer for SAA, other groups could just wipe themselves off the map and I couldn’t care less.
Go on YPG and ISIS, do a favour to mankind kill each other.
Didn’t see any SDF forces where were they, maybe invisible. Looks like another staged fight again , this is getting bad.
The only dead from this fight just burned tent and bed then leave some cute little sand in trouma
Who supply them with a whole lot of Toyotas? Many hundreds of them were destroyed, but we can see that it’s still their main transportation vehicles, which seem to be brand new.
The money from growing opium in Afghanistan comes in handy for small expenses like a few thousand pickup trucks .
Their allies the US and other backers of course.
