On May 28, Deputy Defense Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Eduard Basurin claimed that 3 Ukrainian sabotage-reconnaissance groups had been neutralized. 2 groups were fully eliminated and the 3rd one suffered causalities. 2 memebers of the 3rd group were killed and 2 others were injured, when they were crossing a minefield in the Dzerzhinsk area.
According to the May 28 statement, Ukrainian forces launched 28 shells of 122 mm and 82 mm caliber at targets in the DPR. Furthermore, infantry fighting vehicles, all the types of mortars and light weapons were also used.
The DPR military says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had violated the ceasefire regime 21 times in a period from May 26 to 28. On May 27, 2 buildings were damaged.
The Ukrainian side also accuses the DPR and the LPR of the recent escalation in the area.
On May 28, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that DPR forces had conducted 7 aimed fires, one of which resulted in a killing of a 15-year-old girl.
On May 27, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released another statement saying that the DPR violated the ceasefire 22 times, including 4 times opening fire using heavy weaponry. DPR forces launched 30 mortar shells of 120- and 82-mm caliber. 3 service members of the DPR were killed and 3 injured. 2 Ukrainian soldiers were injured, according to the statement.
On May 27, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that 2 members of the Special Group Alpha (SBU branch) had died in the line of duty in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).
A group of the Special Group Alpha participated in the operation of the Ukrainian Joint Forces. 2 members were killed and one was seriously injured after an artillery attack.
On May 26, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine released a statement stressing that the situation in the region remains under control. According to the statement, DPR forces had violated the ceasefire 28 times, including 2 times opening fire from the artillery. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine pointed out that 9 DPR servicemen had been killed and 7 had been seriously injured. A service member of Ukrainian forces was killed and 4 were injured.

Being a government that collaborated with Nazi Germany does not make you a Nazi government. Finland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria were not Nazi governments in WWII. Painting the other side as nazis is a well established tradition by those who oppose certain groups, individuals or countries but have no real argument. The left does it all the time in the West.
