The Russian peace enforcement operation in Ukraine entered its sixth day.
In the morning of March 1, a spokesperson for forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Eduard Basurin, announced that the DPR will soon fully encircle the city of Mariupol in Donetsk Region.
Mariupol is a key stronghold of the Kiev regime in the area. DPR units reached its outskirts during the advance on February 28.
The Ukrainian military responds with massive shelling of civilian targets in Donetsk and Gorlovka cities.
Meanwhile, the Lugansk People’s Republic announced that its forces have liberated 15 settlements from regime forces.
“The units of the defense department liberated the settlements of Putilino, Artema, Shiroky, Shulginka, Teploe, Nizhneteploye, Verkhneteploye, Plotina, Petrovka, Bakhmutovka, Gerasimovka, Malinovoe, Nihnyaya Olhovaya, Verhnaya Olhovaya, Kamyshnoe from the armed formations of Ukraine,” the statement says.
A day earlier, a spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, said that the LPR group of forces, with the fire support of the Russian military, is conducting successful offensive operations and has advanced 23 kilometers.

Russian forces continue their offensive operation in the countryside of Kiev. The current goal is to block the city and prevent the Kiev regime from deploying even more military formations in its residential areas.

Likely they do have integration system at some level, though still would have to be networked through Polish ground radar system as Ukraine’s were wiped out on day one, but either way, the Russian are going to field more advanced generation Sukois fighters and air to air missiles.
