Eastern Homs Battle Claimed Lives Of 44 Syrian Soldiers, ISIS Terrorists – Report

Violent clashes between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and ISIS remnants had been taking place in the eastern Homs countryside over the past two days, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on July 4.

According to the London-based monitoring group, 18 Syrian service members and 26 ISIS terrorists have been killed in the clashes, thus far.

“The number of fatalities [on both sides] may rise as some of the wounded are in a critical condition,” the SOHR’s report reads.

The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) are reportedly providing Syrian troops in eastern Homs with close air support. ISIS’ positions there are being targeted on a daily basis.

On July 2, the SAA with VKS support repelled a major attack by ISIS cells on its positions in eastern Homs. The terrorist group, however, didn’t back down. The attack was resumed on the same day.

ISIS remnants in the Homs desert are suffering from limited resources. This seems to force them to launch new attacks in the hope of securing ammunition, food and medical supplies. However, these attacks deplete their capabilities even more.

The SOHR claimed that 588 service members of the army and its allies as well as 238 terrorists of ISIS had been killed in Eastern Homs since March 2019.

Why aren’t they bombed to dust in the desert?

588 in 3 months that’s a lot.

Willing Conscience (The Truths

Ahh at last the Russian cavalry has arrived, it may not look good for the SAA just looking at the casualty breakdown but it’s even worse if you’re looking at the numbers from an Isis followers perspective, you can’t sustain an operation if you losing more fighters than you manage to kill, and up until now the numbers were reversed in Isis’s favour. I’ve been saying this is the only way to beat Isis, air support is the key, it only took 2 months for the Russians, Syrians, and Iraqis to kick Isis out of the very same places that they’re operating in now back in 2017. So if they did it back then they can do it again, and they can do it even more easily now, back in 2017 Isis held large areas of northern Syria and Iraq as well, so they were actually 1,000 times stronger back then. For 2 years Russia didn’t operate any aircraft in Iranian and Hezbollah held territory, but now Russia’s moved into one of the airbases the Iranians vacated things are changing, hopefully the Iranians vacate a few more too. Now when the SAA encounter Isis in disproportionate numbers they have Russian air support to help them balance the equation, a quick radio call and the cavalry is there in no time, it would’ve been much better if this was done 12 months ago, but better late than never is still good enough. One other bonus with having Russians present in Homs instead of Iran or Hezbollah is there’ll be less willing recruits for Isis now, the local Sunnis much prefer to have the Russians present in preference to having the Iranians there.

Swift Laggard II

the article nowhere mentioned iran and it’s affiliates, but your ideological mind sees everything through a distorted lens

Willing Conscience (The Truths

I threw away nearly all my distorted lens’s long ago, it was some time after june 2018, first it was the US distorted lens, then the Israeli distorted lens, then the Arab league distorted lens, then the Russian distorted lens, then the Turkish distorted lens, and finally the Iranian distorted lens, now I’m trying to make sure my Syrian lens isn’t also distorted. I mention Iran because Iran’s not mentioned, Iran’s been in total control of this whole area for 2 years now and look what’s happened, it’s your lens that needs to be thrown away, that’s if you think my comments about Iran isn’t relevant.
