A new incident involving the Russian Military Police and U.S. forces has taken place in in the Kurdish-held part of northeast Syria.

On June 24, WarJournal Telegram channel shared a video of the incident that took place in an unspecified area, likely in northern al-Hasakah.

The video shows a KamAZ-63968 Typhoon-K mine-resistant ambush protected (MRAP) vehicle of the Russian Military Police taking over an Oshkosh M-ATV MRAP vehicle of the U.S. military on a dirt road. The M-ATV was apparently trying to block a Russian patrol.

In the last few months, several similar incidents took place in northeast Syria. The U.S. military constantly attempts to restrict the movement of the Russian Military Police in the region.

The U.S. appears to be concerned over the growing Russian influence in northeast Syria. The Russian Military Police are not only expanding their presence in the region, but also working to build lasting relations with the locals.
